The new winner for WORST F***ING SONG EVER

I was unfortunate enough to see the new Terminator movie over the weekend thanks to a certain girlfriend who works for a company that had a hand in the production of the movie. During the credits came the WORST FUCKING SONG EVER, courtesy of the Blue Man Group featuring Gavin Rossdale of Bush. Yeah, I thought Blue Man Group was some Vegas sideshow act shit too, don't know when they started recording albums with shirtless poseurs pretending to be legitimate musicians. Anyway, the song, which I think is called "the current" is so fucking bad that I almost threw up all over the nice red theatre upholstery. I was forced to stay in the theatre throughout the duration of the song because it was impolite to leave during a free screening. I nearly died that night.

Anyway, when I got home, my friend who hadn't seen the movie told me that that the worst song he'd heard in a long time was "Set Me Free," a song that played during the credits of "The Hulk." this song features my archnemesis Scott Weiland on vocals and Slash on guitar. I took the liberty of downloading both songs and playing them side-by-side with my friend, and we both agreed that hands-down the Gavin song was the worst song ever recorded. No fucking question.

just thought I'd share that with you, thank you very much.

Sorry, didn't mean to offend all you Bush fans out there. :D

Gavin Rossdale is a genius!! He plays his own instruments and writes his own songs! He's the greatest musician of the last 20 years - what kind of loser are you that has to tear down a great band to make himself feel big and important!

*sobs*

*runs to bedroom, slams door*

*blasts "Machinehead"*

while rocking MTV Spring Break he recites the opening of Allen Ginsberg's "Howl" shirtless during the middle of "Everything Zen."

ROCK.

Not dissimilar from latter Tangerine Dream, but more percussive and rhythmic. The new album more than makes up for its Gavin Rossdale appearance by featuring Venus Hum vocalist Annette Strean on a cover of Donna Summer's "I Feel Love" and (son to Charlie/brother to Rachel and Petra/Spain frontguy) Josh Haden.

i still think the spider-man 'hero' song is worse. TS: chad or gavin?? and you can't count their haircuts in favor of/against them

Coming from the man who one said this, the validity of your critical opinion is drawn into serious question.

Andrew Frye (paul cox), Thursday, 10 July 2003 00:32 (twenty-two years ago)

I was young and foolish

Curt1s St3ph3ns, Thursday, 10 July 2003 00:34 (twenty-two years ago)

Is it worse than Yellow? Honest?

My FORMER roommate used to play "Yellow" on repeat for hours on end. CHRIST.

YES. I assume you that it is worse. FAR WORSE. It's about the most abominable creation ever committed to record. If I were that shirtless jackass I would been fucking ashamed to admit I had any part in that garbage.

I just heard this. My god, it's atrocious, a blight on God's earth for sure, but come on, we're talking about GAVIN here. There's no comparison.

Blue Man Group sounds like the music from the rave/orgy scene in Matrix Reloaded, "Stomp" style trancedance puke-o-matic raunch cheeze crapstain ralphfest.

david day (winslow), Thursday, 10 July 2003 16:57 (twenty-two years ago)

That was the only part in the Matrix: Reloaded where the music was even worth half-a-damn!

The song is a bit sorry...but I have to admit the video was somewhat subtle and clever. But the singer guy kept blowing it by looking nervously over his shoulder.

that ballad crap at the end of spiderman sucked too. if i hear that on a commercial one more time, i will pop and watch the room spin over and over as my head flies straight off and onto floor. and i better die, cause with all the blood everywhere, my wife will kill me anyway.

so yeah, none of that...
