I really like this latest Matrix-banger. Anyone else?

is this song's title as in "that's like, so yesterday"?

amateurist (amateurist), Wednesday, 16 July 2003 16:04 (twenty-three years ago)

As in, "YOU'RE so yesterday"!

Sam J. (samjeff), Wednesday, 16 July 2003 16:07 (twenty-three years ago)

Who the fuck is Jerry Van Dyke?

Horace Mann (Horace Mann), Wednesday, 16 July 2003 16:42 (twenty-three years ago)

Dick's brother, starred in My Mother the Car. the stepfather of my best friend in high school once saw him at the restaurant in Colorado where he (the stepfather, not JVD) worked as a dishwasher.

M Matos (M Matos), Wednesday, 16 July 2003 16:51 (twenty-three years ago)

sorry, I should have put more context into that.
it's a quote from The Larry Sanders Show, Artie bemoaning the shitty C list celebs they had booked for the show. Hilary Duff is a shitty C list celeb.

Horace Mann (Horace Mann), Wednesday, 16 July 2003 16:54 (twenty-three years ago)

maybe she's broaching an awkward subject: "so, yesterday when you drunkenly came on to my stepsister..."

amateurist (amateurist), Wednesday, 16 July 2003 16:55 (twenty-three years ago)

C-list or not, it's a really fun song... And I like it better than the Lillix single or any of the Liz Phair songs, as far as that goes. It's not quite Avril-level (it actually kind of recycles a hook from Avril's "Tomorrow") - but then neither is the new Avril song on the "American Wedding" sdtrck... urk!

Sam J. (samjeff), Wednesday, 16 July 2003 17:51 (twenty-three years ago)

I haven't heard it.
I don't hear anything anymore.

Horace Mann (Horace Mann), Wednesday, 16 July 2003 19:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Upon hearing it on, of course, Zoog Disney, I remember thinking a few things

A) Wow, Disney didn't half ass this production at all. I'm surprised.
B) Yep, she's the anti-christ.

David Allen, Wednesday, 16 July 2003 19:23 (twenty-three years ago)

why not do a crazy dance?

Al (sitcom), Wednesday, 16 July 2003 22:00 (twenty-three years ago)

p.s. I'd hit it

Al (sitcom), Wednesday, 16 July 2003 22:00 (twenty-three years ago)

ew

amateurist (amateurist), Wednesday, 16 July 2003 23:38 (twenty-three years ago)

Ah, c'mon, don't tell me you wouldn't.

David Allen, Thursday, 17 July 2003 00:46 (twenty-three years ago)

David, we're still talking about Jerry Van Dyke here, right? Cuz, yeah, I'd hit it in an instant.

Horace Mann (Horace Mann), Thursday, 17 July 2003 14:18 (twenty-three years ago)

three years pass...
for some reason it looks like there isnt a proper hilary thread. it must be that the search function isnt working properly

anyway, the new single? what? its like some kind of kylie attempt:/ not into this at all. and the video is wrong too, hilary cant really pull this kind of schtick off

hopefully, it is just an abberation, and we can return to the highs of the math soon

Tim Ellison (Tim Ellison), Thursday, 17 August 2006 23:56 (twenty years ago)

Why is the captain in The High Life (BBC, 1995) named Hilary Duff?

...ok, there is no "proper" thread.

Marmot (marmotwolof), Friday, 18 August 2006 00:34 (twenty years ago)
