Manuel, Thursday, 24 July 2003 00:35 (twenty-two years ago)

where where where do we get?

M Matos (M Matos), Thursday, 24 July 2003 00:37 (twenty-two years ago)

I'd pull a Ned here if I weren't so lazy.

Andy K (Andy K), Thursday, 24 July 2003 00:44 (twenty-two years ago)

;-)

Ned Raggett (Ned), Thursday, 24 July 2003 00:46 (twenty-two years ago)

my bad, it's AREAL, not Aereal

a friend gave it to me, it can be ordered from forcedexposure.com or areal-records.com, amongst many other places, i'm sure

manuel, Thursday, 24 July 2003 00:46 (twenty-two years ago)

Here ya go:

"Sensitive mix of Areal's DJ Jan Eric Kaiser with Areal's first nine releases and WeltZwei as special guest. 74 minutes to blow you away." Featuring tracks by: Konfekt, Metope, Basteroid, Undo/Redo.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Thursday, 24 July 2003 00:48 (twenty-two years ago)

It's my second-favorite mix of the year thus far, just behind Dan Bell.

(I'm pretty sure Tracer started an Areal thread at some point last year.)

Andy K (Andy K), Thursday, 24 July 2003 00:52 (twenty-two years ago)

Bis Neun is great - more extensive thoughts forthcoming.

Matos you would *definitely* love it to death.

Tim Finney (Tim Finney), Thursday, 24 July 2003 01:29 (twenty-two years ago)

Okay, my thoughts are up.

Tim Finney (Tim Finney), Thursday, 24 July 2003 04:08 (twenty-two years ago)

Tracer's thread

six months pass...
Which other labels need a retrospective mix pronto? I'm thinking Dial, spesh after that Carsten Jost track on Sami Koivikko's Eucalyptus mix. Can anyone help me with inclusions for my own homemade comp?

Tim Finney (Tim Finney), Thursday, 19 February 2004 06:12 (twenty-two years ago)

So you want a homemade Dial comp, then?

Andy K (Andy K), Thursday, 19 February 2004 12:14 (twenty-two years ago)

I would include these:

Sten - Eccentric*
Sten - Asami
Lawrence - Capery Plan
Lawrence - Neighborhood
Efdemin - Technicolour
Phantom Ghost - These Days
Hannes Teichmann - Winterhude
Alexander Polzin - Lighter
Carsten Jost - Make Pigs Pay
Diamantenräuber - Let's Rogue

I've not heard three or four of their releases; I have no recollection of a couple others. (Surely there are other worthwhile Jost tracks.)

Musik Krause, Echocord, and 240 Volts could put together great comps in the near future. I hope Bruchstuecke gets around to doing something like that, too.

*This track's ALMOST EXACTLY like a Lawrence track (well, it is the same guy), but it's a little cleaner and more fierce. It's probably my favorite track that he's done.

Andy K (Andy K), Thursday, 19 February 2004 12:39 (twenty-two years ago)

klang electronik needs a comp! and musik krause seconded. they have just enough material and what i've heard is fantastic. i would also like a comp of the morris audio citysport releases.

i believe that the carsten jost track tim mentioned is on the sender label which has a couple compilations...a comp of only jost tracks would be pretty nice to have.

tricky disco (disco stu), Thursday, 19 February 2004 14:45 (twenty-two years ago)

I think Morris Audio have just released a comp td.

I wanted Sub Static to release a comp, and then I found out that they already have, but what's the point if it's too old to have John Spring on it?????

Yeah Musik Krause would be great. What's on Bruchstuecke again? Sounds familiar.

Tim Finney (Tim Finney), Thursday, 19 February 2004 22:40 (twenty-two years ago)

i must get some of that lawrence stuff
his track off total 3 is incredible

robin (robin), Thursday, 19 February 2004 23:10 (twenty-two years ago)

Bruchstuecke's got releases by Luciano (one of his best), Klettermax, Styro2000... *draws blank*

Andy K (Andy K), Thursday, 19 February 2004 23:14 (twenty-two years ago)

three years pass...
perhaps not the right thread (not entirely minimal) but today I bought Oliver Koletzki's "the process" mix at Other Music cos it was cheap ($2). It's fantastic! Aggressive, funky, a little bit odd, a little bit old-fanshioned techno, but definitely dancefloor. Anyone else like it, or have much to say about the Resopal label?

paulhw, Saturday, 12 May 2007 23:42 (eighteen years ago)

I looked at this in the store paul, it looks very good.

Tim F, Sunday, 13 May 2007 00:26 (eighteen years ago)

Tim - a quick question. Ypu're in Australia right? (I lived there from 98 til 2001). When I look at Melbourne scene stuff, the Tiga-loving, Midnight Juggernaughts-style electro stuff seems to be king (as far as vaguely underground goes). Is this accurate? Are there many parties that play less, er, haircut house?
