"Area Codes" - Ludacris feat nate Dogg.

Sterling Clover (s_clover), Wednesday, 3 September 2003 03:02 (twenty-two years ago)

"Differences" is up there, yeah

Sonny A. (Keiko), Wednesday, 3 September 2003 03:06 (twenty-two years ago)

sterl dotn try to school me on that janet song i put that shit on your tape like last year!!! oh and i forgot abt how much i love 808!!! and the remix though not as much, i dont know why that got all the radio play... the original is one of r kellys greatest outside songwriting jobs ever, its so gorgeous

trife (simon_tr), Wednesday, 3 September 2003 03:16 (twenty-two years ago)

sisquo -- thong song!!!

Sterling Clover (s_clover), Wednesday, 3 September 2003 03:39 (twenty-two years ago)

Dru Hill - If I Could

stevem (blueski), Friday, 5 September 2003 10:16 (twenty-two years ago)

As an aside, how do you pronounce "the 00s"? "The zeroes?" "The aughts?" It's not like this problem doesn't come around every hundred years or so. There must be an answer.

Salmon Pink (Salmon Pink), Friday, 5 September 2003 11:48 (twenty-two years ago)

Isn't it the naughties?

maree (maree), Friday, 5 September 2003 11:50 (twenty-two years ago)

hey minna. i did get quite few of those earlier tracks. now i gotta get these?

gaz (gaz), Friday, 5 September 2003 12:07 (twenty-two years ago)

haha gaz i am.
thanks everyone for your trainspotting! this thread has turned out very nicely, i have already downloaded a lot of amazing songs.

minna (minna), Saturday, 6 September 2003 11:05 (twenty-two years ago)

Mention must be made of two of my favorite guilty pleasures:

Khia -- "My Neck, My Back"
Adina Howard -- "T-Shirt & Panties"

Eric H. (Eric H.), Saturday, 6 September 2003 13:47 (twenty-two years ago)

Minna I'd love to find out what you downloaded and liked and what you thought of them.

Tim Finney (Tim Finney), Sunday, 7 September 2003 09:46 (twenty-two years ago)

Kinnda - Don't Bring Sand To The Beach !

Mind Taker, Sunday, 7 September 2003 19:11 (twenty-two years ago)

Tank -- Supa Sexy.

Sterling Clover (s_clover), Sunday, 7 September 2003 21:16 (twenty-two years ago)

three weeks pass...
probably the #1 best thing i downloaded was ginuwine - difference. thanks sterl!

also loved:
blaque - 808, and the remix works best turned way up loud.... and i downloaded some other blaque songs: probably the most interesting one other than 808 is a reworking of wanksta, with loungey staccato horns replacing the ringtone beat so it sounds like j walk - soul vibration! (put it on vibrate!)

i love the vocoder bit at the end of 'love me' by petey pablo & tweet

brandy - full moon - for some reason i hadnt heard this

i got the whole toya album which is great! and it has a ukg song on it?!

i also ended up dling the entire inoj album: loads of really good stuff here too: her cover of 'ring my bell'; 'love you down', 'all i want', 'moving on', and particularly 'precious love' which is so so sadly sweet, flooded w sugar, it's a bit like a dream i had about drowning in rasberry post-mix syrup... as a whole the album could be a bit overwhelming if it weren't for the ever present beats keeping things in check (the ballads without beats arent so great). 'i need to feel your love' is another winner, it is bittersweet like the others and also very dainty.... it's like small brittle sea creatures edging around the rock pool in pink mother-of-pearl shells ( haha sorry that was TWEE) and it reminds me of the jeremy jordan song from the 90210 soundtrack!

whitney houston - it's not right but it's ok - i had no idea it was whitney! but it's great!

janet jackson - doesn't really matter

christina milian - twitch: especially the breakdown at the end

mya ft sisqo - it's all about me = the best of the mya songs. i couldn't find the miami bass version. i want to hear it though! i also couldnt find the just blaze faith evans remix but i am intrigued!

that's all i can think of for now... i might come back and report some more later

minna (minna), Sunday, 28 September 2003 05:18 (twenty-two years ago)

oh the jadakiss & isyss song is good. i hate the phrase 'farty bassline' but i love the way that bass rolls around

minna (minna), Sunday, 28 September 2003 06:21 (twenty-two years ago)

tim: i've always had a soft spot for 'it's whatever' too

minna (minna), Sunday, 28 September 2003 06:22 (twenty-two years ago)

aiee i wish i wd reread these posts before i posted them, all that inoj stuff is awful. but don't be discouraged, the album really is mostly good

minna (minna), Sunday, 28 September 2003 06:23 (twenty-two years ago)

that whitney song is great ('your love is my love' is like my fourth fave lauryn hill song)

cinniblount (James Blount), Sunday, 28 September 2003 06:36 (twenty-two years ago)
