The entire genre of new beat?

I agree with the 'I Feel Love' sentiment.

Being LP-sized, I played it first at 33-rpm. Damn, this is one ofthe best Black Sabbath ripoff bands I've ever heard.
Then realized mistake. Still sounded good.

a great vinyl art thingey is the b-side to "O Superman", a song called "Walk the Dog" (a great shaggy multi-media display with satirical designs on Dolly Parton)it seems too fast at 45rpm, too slow at 33 1/3, and deliberately does not list the correct speed on the label.
(the song itself is a very multi-speed affair anyway)
― george gosset (gegoss), Monday, 6 October 2003 09:43 (twenty-one years ago)
Ha! I did this too! And if I still had it on vinyl, I'd continue to do so...
A cursory mention for Utah Saints, the b-side of whose "Something Good" single is specifically recorded to work equally well on 33 or 45. Damn fine stuff.

Re: Angry Samoans: I did the same thing when I got Feeding of The 5000 by Crass. Except I thought it was shit.

Totally agreed, totally, totally agreed - the guitars and instrumental bits don't sound speeded up at all, and the voice only sounds a tiny weeny bit weird.
Except it's called Streets of Fire.
Also totally, totally agree about Walk the Dog. Is there a 'proper' way to play it?

It would be great to have an iTunes plug-in that pitchshifted tracks to play as if they were 33s at 45, or 45s at 33.
