I'd like to give a googlicious plug to London's own Limpish Biskit.

Anthony Miccio (Anthony Miccio), Saturday, 4 October 2003 17:14 (twenty-one years ago)

double wow!

annouschka, the individual sites that the bands have are fun to look at. sure, some are goofy and dumb, but some of them are really into it! it's like folk-art in a way. i saw a kiss cover band once that i swear were actually better than kiss. they could play better anyway.

scott seward, Saturday, 4 October 2003 17:58 (twenty-one years ago)

truer words never spoken

cinniblount (James Blount), Saturday, 4 October 2003 18:03 (twenty-one years ago)

i just wish that Awesome Powers the Canadian Austin Powers tribute guy had his own web-site. their is a small picture of him and it's intriguing.

What's with all the Rush tributes?

j.lu (j.lu), Sunday, 5 October 2003 17:51 (twenty-one years ago)

I'd suggest that being in a Rush tribute band is simply a sadly unimaginative way of trying to demonstrate one's arguable "chops".

Alex in NYC (vassifer), Sunday, 5 October 2003 19:08 (twenty-one years ago)

there should be a tribute band called 'Chops' that just plays guitar shop technique idols - rush, stevie ray vaughn, "eruption", "freebird"

cinniblount (James Blount), Sunday, 5 October 2003 19:17 (twenty-one years ago)

brilliant!!!

The drummer would have to replicate "Moby Dick".

Alex in NYC (vassifer), Sunday, 5 October 2003 19:19 (twenty-one years ago)

I wanna start a Jefferson Airplane/Doors tribute band called the Airplane Doors.

Annouschka Magnatech (Jody Beth Rosen), Monday, 6 October 2003 06:16 (twenty-one years ago)

::rimshot::

Alex in NYC (vassifer), Monday, 6 October 2003 10:47 (twenty-one years ago)

I've seen "Bonfire," the AC/DC tribute band (they were great) - and Alanis from "Ironic (Alanis Moreorless)" was going from table to table, passing out flyers.

Sam J. (samjeff), Monday, 6 October 2003 18:03 (twenty-one years ago)

my favorite tribute band was the devo cover band in santa barbara in 1990 (or 1991?) called "steve garvey's hair".
