For me it's probaly about ten CDs on a binge on Berwick Street or a Cash converters sale splurge.

But someone is going to beat that by a factor of a hundred I'm betting.

i bought about 128 records from the estate of my father's friend. they just wanted to get rid of them, regardless of value. i later sold many of them to my roommates for their approx. values and made half of my money back. i'm not looking forward to moving.

68- my last visit to Rasputin Records in San Jose.
(The next day I purchased over 30 at Amoeba in Berkerly. I had to borrow an extra suitcase from my sisterinlaw for the flight home.)

LET US ALL GIVE THANKS FOR THOSE I"M-ONLY-INTO-ONE-TYPE-OF-MUSIC RECORD STORE EMPLOYEES WHO PUT ALL THE GREAT STUFF INTO THE BARGAIN BINS!!!!!!!

i got 89 LPs once in a big box at a garage sale for 5 bucks. while it had a lot of shit, it also had a lot of prince, donna summer, morris day and the time, egyptian lover, sugarhill gang, and new order. definitely a steal.

about 10 years ago, a guy at school sold me over 800 LPs and 12" for about 25 euro. I was talking to him while he was putting an ad up on the messageboard. Needless to say I took it right off.
He got the collection from an uncle who was a dj in a hotelbar. He kept some Prince and Madonna records, but the rest was mine. Most of it was early - mid eighties stuff, (euro)disco, from unknown artists.
At that time I was still living with my parents, who made me sell the lot after blocking the hallway for a half a year. I kept about 40 records, sold a couple to some friends, the rest went to a second hand store for 175 euro.

So I made some money out of it, but also got a couple of gems. Planet Rock 12", Liquid Liquid, some James Brown, Pigbag, a couple of Factory and Mute 12",...
