Only that I'm sure I saw US Tour dates on one of the discussion lists I'm on, which rather surprised me - I'll see if I can dig up the details.

Uh.... no. Certainly couldn't find it where I thought I'd seen it. Maybe I imagined it. Strange thing to have imagined 'though.

I did find out that a "Best Of" coming out in a month's time 'though http://www.amazon.fr/exec/obidos/ASIN/B0000VCT6M/qid=1068040289/sr=1-1/ref=sr_1_2_1/171-7371520-2309052

There are tour dates on the Acute Records site.

I know that all those NY dates are correct, btw (the Acute site says "still tentative").

Metal Urbain NYC listening party and subsequent dates.

Great article in the Village Voice! I would like to add the same thing must've happened in Australia. Of all the places in the world, there was an entire scene of bands who claimed Metal Urbain as a, if not THE, primary influence. Severed Heads, SPK, Primitive Calculators and the Slugfuckers are the 4 australian industrial/punk acts I can think of. Severed Heads are WAY underrated btw, but that's another topic for another day! Anyway, the listening party is tonight at Niagara, and yes, all those dates are correct. I handed out flyers and posters at every records store in downtown NYC yesterday, and managed to spend hundreds of dollars at each. Whoops.

Going on a short tour...

Severed Heads, SPK

Those bands had more traction than the Smershes and
F/i (Surfin' Fuhrers). Paradoxically, they wound up on
a French compilation called "The Gift of Noise" round about the
mid-80's.
