There's a bunch of Jandek songs which I really love and enjoy listening to quite a bit. "European Jewel (Incomplete)" from Ready For The House is probably one of my favorite songs ever. I'm very fond of "Van Ness Mission," "Rain In Madison," "Naked In The Afternoon," "Nancy Sings," "I Passed By The Building," "You Painted Your Teeth," and "So Fly, Max." I think the guy has made some legitamately great music.

I mentioned in another Jandek thread here that I had contacted Jandek about potentially using some of his music in a film that I ended up not making. He sent me a letter explaining that he doesn't mind people using his music as long as he is made aware of it and is credited, but that he does not want any money and will not meet with anyone or give interviews of any kind. This means two things: a) Mitsubishi, film studios, etc can probably use his work free of charge as much as they want but b) this leaves them open to all sorts of potential legal problems should things go wrong.
