Bravo to Chuck Eddy and Village Voice for writing a few lines on the New Christs. Never in my life would I have expected to see that.

I have soft spot for them having seen them many times live, and inveigled my way into a pub when i was 16 the first time

Wow...I'm too lazy to click the link, but is there a re-release or something that inspired this? Huzzah!

new christs fans may well be interested in the event below:

A pool of blood on the old dance floor

(I left out Angel City by mistake, though. And one of the 45s I'm definitely planning to spin is by the Celibate Rifles.)

Nice work, Chuck - I loved that record but was neck-deep in Stuff To Do when I got the promo, glad to see people reviewing it

So you're here. Yeah, off Rob Younger's back, mannnnnnn! Well he is not a great singer I agree, I was just content to see them getting some press. I even dusted my old 7"s and listened to them last night. Always loved the Dropping Like Flies double 7".

ten years pass...

I think this is the only thread about this band, sad. They've got a cracking new album - http://thenewchrists.bandcamp.com/releases

I'm hoping they'll make the rest of their discography available there too eventually.

Wow, they're still around.

Obsessed. I ordered CDs from Citadel, despite the cost.
