Dude (The Yellow Dart), Sunday, 4 April 2004 18:15 (twenty-one years ago)

How old are you? Why were you watching Spongebob??

Aja (aja), Sunday, 4 April 2004 18:16 (twenty-one years ago)

ummmm....no comment...

Dude (The Yellow Dart), Sunday, 4 April 2004 18:18 (twenty-one years ago)

....i like spongebob...

Dude (The Yellow Dart), Sunday, 4 April 2004 18:19 (twenty-one years ago)

I don't even watch Spongebob!!!

And if my friends talk about it, I just say something about an episode I saw while I was with one of my cousins.

Aja (aja), Sunday, 4 April 2004 18:20 (twenty-one years ago)

In one episode, they all formed a band, and none of them could play, but when it came time for the actual concert, they did the most spot on hilarious re-creation of an 80s powerballad I have ever seen. They even looked the part.

Alo, in one episode, Pantera provided all of the music.

David Allen (David Allen), Sunday, 4 April 2004 18:24 (twenty-one years ago)

i'm so glad i'm not the only one that watches spongebob....

Dude (The Yellow Dart), Sunday, 4 April 2004 18:26 (twenty-one years ago)

I saw that episode

Aja (aja), Sunday, 4 April 2004 18:27 (twenty-one years ago)

I like the theme song.

Mr. Snrub (Mr. Snrub), Sunday, 4 April 2004 18:43 (twenty-one years ago)

Kaz draws it sometimes, and Kaz is a genius.

@d@ml (nordicskilla), Sunday, 4 April 2004 18:46 (twenty-one years ago)

I 99% sure that it was Lux Interior of the Cramps singing for Bird Brains on that episode. Songebob is soooo coool. There was one episode where Spongebob and Patrick were getting dangerous thrills riding on the fishing lines near the ocean bottom and they cut to a shot of Fishing with John, and I nearly crapped my pants. From laughing, of course.

Huck, Sunday, 4 April 2004 19:00 (twenty-one years ago)

Judgments are otherwise elsewhere. And like I say there, "Did I ASK to see Flabby Green Octoass? No I did not."

Ned Raggett (Ned), Sunday, 4 April 2004 19:04 (twenty-one years ago)

Old Man Raggett and Spinster Aja in hating fun shocker.

Huck, Sunday, 4 April 2004 19:17 (twenty-one years ago)

Are you saying I won't get married?

Aja (aja), Sunday, 4 April 2004 19:19 (twenty-one years ago)

I'm saying you spend too much time worrying about the kids on your lawn.

Huck, Sunday, 4 April 2004 19:25 (twenty-one years ago)

I don't have a lawn

Aja (aja), Sunday, 4 April 2004 19:26 (twenty-one years ago)

CRABBY PATTIES!!

Eisbär (llamasfur), Sunday, 4 April 2004 19:38 (twenty-one years ago)

Yeah. The episode with the pretty patties was funny

Aja (aja), Sunday, 4 April 2004 19:43 (twenty-one years ago)

I find it funny that Mr. Crabs Sells Crabby Patties

Dude (The Yellow Dart), Sunday, 4 April 2004 19:43 (twenty-one years ago)

They are named after him?

Aja (aja), Sunday, 4 April 2004 19:46 (twenty-one years ago)

No....He's A Crab and he's Selling Crabby Patties
They're like little crab hamburger things.

Dude (The Yellow Dart), Sunday, 4 April 2004 19:48 (twenty-one years ago)

You sure that's what they are made of?

Aja (aja), Sunday, 4 April 2004 19:50 (twenty-one years ago)

ok your just ruining the damn cartoon for me

Dude (The Yellow Dart), Sunday, 4 April 2004 19:51 (twenty-one years ago)

what about when it rains...at the bottom of the ocean?

Huck, Sunday, 4 April 2004 19:53 (twenty-one years ago)

they also have fire..
and a beach

Dude (The Yellow Dart), Sunday, 4 April 2004 19:57 (twenty-one years ago)

Exaactly, so don't bring your jive-ass logic or laws of physics around Bikini Bottom.

Huck, Sunday, 4 April 2004 20:10 (twenty-one years ago)

spongebob does indeed rock.
contributors, musically, have been ween, lux interior, pantera (!) and a few others.

the spongebob theme appeared briefly on some dodgy bootleg album called haggis trax a few years ago . .

the artist formerly known as frenchbloke, Monday, 5 April 2004 11:22 (twenty-one years ago)

I don't like this show so much.

Family Guy, now that's quality.

Sasha (sgh), Monday, 5 April 2004 13:06 (twenty-one years ago)

the Blue Hawaiians (who do the incidental and end credits music) feature Jeremy Wakefield on steel (at least in their Spongebob work). Wakefield has also played with the incomparable Wayne "The Train" Hancock. So that's another cool thing.

The Huckle-Buck (Horace Mann), Monday, 5 April 2004 13:40 (twenty-one years ago)

Junior Brown was on one episode.

As for the laws of physics, in one episode Partrick and SpongeBob were sitting around a fire when Patrick said "Hey SpongeBob, we're under water. So how is it that we can have a fire?" Upon which, the fire immediately went out.

I love the show; too bad there hasn't been a new episode in nearly two years. My son got tired of it, so I have no excuse to watch it now.

Rick Massimo (Rick Massimo), Monday, 5 April 2004 18:21 (twenty-one years ago)

there's a movie coming out.

The Huckle-Buck (Horace Mann), Monday, 5 April 2004 18:22 (twenty-one years ago)

i Own every episode of The Family Guy

Dude (The Yellow Dart), Monday, 5 April 2004 22:56 (twenty-one years ago)

SpongeBob is clearly creeping onto ILM too, and that's just frightening.

I love the show; too bad there hasn't been a new episode in nearly two years. My son got tired of it, so I have no excuse to watch it now.

Who says that you need one, though?

Nichole Graham (Nichole Graham), Monday, 5 April 2004 23:06 (twenty-one years ago)

I think the Violent Femmes are featured in one of the videos

Cacaman Flores, Tuesday, 6 April 2004 02:10 (twenty-one years ago)

They do the theme on one of the DVDs - "Nautical Nonsense" and "Sponge Buddies". I watched it today.

Eisbär (llamasfur), Tuesday, 6 April 2004 02:17 (twenty-one years ago)

A violent death is too good for Spongebob and all who love him.

El Diablo Robotico (Nicole), Tuesday, 6 April 2004 02:23 (twenty-one years ago)

Which brings me to the fact that it's Noel Gallagher's favourite cartoon.

I don't like it that much.

DJ Mencap (DJ Mencap), Tuesday, 6 April 2004 08:01 (twenty-one years ago)

That Barbie thing just about made me puke. (except where can I get capri pants like that?)

The Huckle-Buck (Horace Mann), Tuesday, 6 April 2004 13:58 (twenty-one years ago)

Huckle-Buck, where did you get the info that Jeremy Wakefield played with "The Blue Hawaiians" on "Spongebob". All other sources name "Gary Brandin" as the BH's steel guitar player and "The Spongebob Guy". Check out his new CD "Through The Dark" with his 'other' band "The Vanduras" which is him and his son, Geof.

'Idiot Box' is one of the funniest pieces of animation I've ever seen.
