Downloaded it. I was disapointed. Despite the last album getting a lot of flack, I enjoyed it. I really like his conversational style delivery and although he comes off to me as someone who would be a complete asshole to hang out with in real life, I like him on stage. Sometimes he relies a little heavily on swearing and shouting, but on SUYFB there were some great moments, like when he said that every time he sees beautiful art he just wants to rape it, because all nudity automatically equals pornography.
The new one is a lot of the same. He's better when he tells stories than when he gets into his obvious politics, making points that are kind of sophomorically phrased (even if, in theory, I agree with them). He also occasionally gets really hypocritical, like during one story of how he bought a 500 dollar cake at some restaurant that had a thin layer of gold on top and all the poor kids who had to work to get that gold, and how indulgent Americans are, all the while forgetting that HE bought a 500 dollar cake.
The best part, again, are the track titles, that make fun of stand up conventions. My favorites were "I've taken a popular contemporary pop song and changed the lyrics to comment on the proliferation of starbucks in my neighborhood," "My immigrant mom talks funny" and the very last one "When all is said and done I am lonely and miserable and barely able to mask my contempt for the audience."
