( tg live in london last night )
but i figured that not everyone who might be interested in the subject would have picked up on the thread title (sorry if i'm wrong). and more importantly, that thread doesn't mention that there's a full bootleg of the astoria gig on slsk! search for "throbbing astoria" and you'll find it. i'm only halfway through but it's amazing so far, maybe even better than tgnow (which is easily in my top 10 for the year so far, probably top 5).
so umm classic, i say, much better than they ever were before.

just heard the astoria bootleg for the 2nd time - it's fantastic, apart perhaps from the versions of "what a day" and "discipline" at the end; i'm not convinced that the sped-up beats do them any favours. the other old stuff sounds amazing, though.
i guess tgnow is the album i've always wanted coil to make, really. "almost like this" is still blowing me away on every listen.

I'll add something when I get to listen to the Astoria bootleg - but slsk is still finding nothing on searches for me, so I'm having trouble getting hold of it (or TGNOW).

I am quietly paying attention.

How about Knobbing Thistle? I reckon they're about ten times better than the real thing.

I liked the new 'what a day' myself.

aldo - i'm afraid i had to burn and delete my copy cos my hard drive's so full, but ask in the ilm chatroom and i'm sure someone will search for you and pass on usernames - i will if no-one else will, anyway.

I have two versions queued at the moment, one with a quite short queue, so it shoud be down by the time I get back from work.
Joining chatrooms does funny things to slsk for me - or at least it did when I was running the previous version. I might try it again with this new one...
