in honor of my birthday [that i share with george clinton], id like to devote my radio show this week to playing records from the year of my birth, 1978. [shush, it could be worse - i could be born in the 80s]
ive got a few already but feel free to list your own top picks here.
if your'e curious about how i fared, tune into WPRB at 3PM EST today.

(This is not playing on WPRB, incidentally, but I thought I'd put it here, since they were playing some ironic disco or something.)
I want to learn to hustle!
My foot feels all better.

thanks for all your suggestions! yes, that really was my mom on the mic during my 4:00 break.
* i dont think this has been mentioned on ILM but WPRB moved to a brand new station about a month and a half ago. still on campus but leaky-air conditioner free. i believe our signal strength was fixed last summer. most listener problems have more to do with geography than anything on our end. [in example: i know west philly listeners run into trouble trying to listen but most of them are stuck at the bottom of the hills here. i live on top of spruce hill and have no trouble getting a signal. also, some station at 47th & kingsessing uses our signal to broadcast their gospel station.]
