well at least Voice had a couple of good songs, what was the excuse for petrol emotion?

The first album by That Petrol Emotion is great! It still holds up. They went downhill after that. "Good Thing" especially is just a wonderful creation.

i am holding back on this, but TPE were one of my pivotal bands. the sheer energy and vitality of their live shows still shends Shivers (ho ho) up my spine. an all time classic band. and Steve Macks follow on with Anodyne was also rather special.

getting back to VoB... 'I say nothing' and 'just a city' were two other great singles; the second album was disappointing, and i only ever saw a copy of the third in Japan; I think that the drummer quit to return to Madness, which really messed them up.

Superb harmonies, though.

1st lp was great really fit with the times .. there is a lost third album methinks that i saw once and let it go .. kinda wished i had grabbed it. (was it called Cunnilingus ? or some pun of that ? - Hunnylingus perhaps ? )

I say nothing! and song with angels in the title. . . . these were my favourite songs to hear on the radio in the middle of the night when I used to go driving with insomnia.
