I don't give a shit about "sell out" issues for the most part, but this one surprised me, especially because it was followed immediately by another ad (for a bank, i think?) that used the Kink's "Picture Book"...

did every ad exec have a college radio show or what?

anyway, let's list surprising songs we've seen in ads and on TV lateley. Oh, and there's at least one Kool Kid circa 1993 picking music at CNN, am I right?

before the chelsea match the other night on itv2 they ran a phone/text competition witha 1000 pound prize, the presenter said "they say a grand dont come for free, well here it does" - cue vt footage with a stereolab soundtrack! (can't remember what the tracks called, its off 'aluminium tunes').

A little off the subject, but is there a guy in Le Tigre? I can never tell about that one member with the faint moustache and thick eyebrows. Not that it matters anyway, I still consider them "sucky".

jd is a friend of mine,so is wyn from tracy and th plastics and so is jodi from monotrona..if the argument ever starts revolving around primitive feminist electro agitators and how they impacted music trends,sales,and the evolution of a genre,I would hope that issues of androgyny be seen by blind eyes and the content of the craft be what is weighed.I would suspect if kathleen wanted to donate her proceeds of an LT Target commercial to rape crisis services,the spectre of selling out would suddenly change forms.

Not to me. I don't care what they do to earn a living, to me they were never sold IN so it doesn't matter to me at all.
