Well, I guess that's that, then.

Yeah. Yeah, that pretty much says it.

Eisbär (llamasfur), Monday, 27 December 2004 07:02 (twenty-one years ago)

Oooh, what's the best Eurythmics song??? (7 posts by Friday)

The Ghost of Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Monday, 27 December 2004 14:55 (twenty-one years ago)

It's of course a classic, but I'm a bit more into "Love is a Stranger".

Alex in NYC (vassifer), Monday, 27 December 2004 15:21 (twenty-one years ago)

classic up until the five hundred millionth time I'd heard it, then, dud.

kyle (akmonday), Monday, 27 December 2004 16:17 (twenty-one years ago)

Actually, I much prefer....

Eurythmics - 1984For the Love of Big Brother

Alex in NYC (vassifer), Monday, 27 December 2004 16:23 (twenty-one years ago)

"Love You Like a Ball and Chain"

LSTD (answer) (sexyDancer), Monday, 27 December 2004 16:29 (twenty-one years ago)

All Eurythmics songs

OK, inability to type "less than" sign in answer made me sound very terse and also gave the wrong impression of my views on this crucial issue.

Correct answer: All Eurythmics songs are (less than less than less than) Tourists, "So good to be back home again," and A. Lennox, "Walking on broken glass."

"Belinda" is Eurythmics doing The Pretenders and is very good! I like it more then Sweet Dreams, anyway.

DR SCott, Monday, 27 December 2004 21:21 (twenty-one years ago)

Love it. Classic

Hot Pants, Monday, 27 December 2004 21:31 (twenty-one years ago)

Classic indeed. More classic: the Grammys performance of said song where Annie dressed up as Elvis. (Also the same Grammys I believe where Culture Club won, and Boy George told the audience "Americans know a good drag queen when they see one.".. all in the midst of Reagan America. What a set of moments.

donut christ (donut), Monday, 27 December 2004 21:33 (twenty-one years ago)

It's not quite classic (4 out of 5 stars?), but it's as close to classic as Eurhythmics ever got.

o. nate (onate), Monday, 27 December 2004 21:34 (twenty-one years ago)

There is secretly some ass shaking bass in this song.

bnw (bnw), Monday, 27 December 2004 21:37 (twenty-one years ago)

It was ass shaking enough for Corey Hart to cop that same synth bass progression that starts off "Sunglasses At Night".

Back to Eurythmics, I have fond memories of the "Missionary Man" video which is all freaky and warped. "Sexcrime 1984" is great, and so is "Beethoven".

Annie Lennix solo though: BLUUUUUUUUUUUUUURG!

donut christ (donut), Monday, 27 December 2004 21:38 (twenty-one years ago)

wehats the song where she goes "dum dum dum the missionary man"? i like that one. and the one where she goes "no more i love yous". whats that one called.

re: ass shaking bass - anybody heard that baltimore club song that rips the bassline off this? It's great...

Jacob (Jacob), Tuesday, 28 December 2004 04:10 (twenty-one years ago)

Maybe he had an Ob-Xa like Eurythmics did. Too bad he didn't have a Linn Drumcomputer.
