That's very cool, Hurting. I won't be there, but it's cool anyway.

this is the day ned gets into town! maybe we can pull together an early evening southpaw drinking thing.

lychee mello (Jody Beth Rosen), Wednesday, 16 March 2005 16:50 (twenty years ago)

oh, competition. ned said something about going to the show at siberia (that cause co-motion is now playing), but whatevs. have fun hurting!

hstencil (hstencil), Wednesday, 16 March 2005 16:51 (twenty years ago)

Well, it's an early show, so maybe they can still make it to Siberia after. Hell, maybe I'll even come after.

Hurting (Hurting), Wednesday, 16 March 2005 16:54 (twenty years ago)

Refer to this thread for more thoughts. I personally would be inclined to try and do both if that's even remotely possible but perhaps it is not.

xpost see, Hurting is thinking along my lines!

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 16 March 2005 16:54 (twenty years ago)

true, i don't think the show at siberia will start until about 10ish.

x-post

Congrats, Hurting. This is great- can't make it 'cause I gotta work, but have a great show.

I'll probably need to figure out what to do with my equipment aftewards, but I could, theoretically, run it all home to Jersey City and take the PATH back into town quickly enough to catch some of the Siberia show.

A friend of mine opened for Robyn Hitchcock once and he brought us backstage. All I can remember is that Robyn had a really cute girlfriend. Rock and roll!

Ken L (Ken L), Wednesday, 16 March 2005 17:36 (twenty years ago)

Robyn Hitchock's website is incredibly confusing. And no mp3s, from what I can tell. www.robynhitchcock.com

But I like what I've heard of "Spooked," which, oddly enough, was recorded by David Rawlings and Gillian Welch.

Hurting (Hurting), Wednesday, 16 March 2005 18:10 (twenty years ago)

I'll be there. Have a great show.

Bump.

Hurting (Hurting), Monday, 21 March 2005 16:12 (twenty years ago)

A dump dump. So you're going to do an ILX-friendly set with aggro death rock covers of "Drop It Like It's Hot," yeah?

Ned Raggett (Ned), Monday, 21 March 2005 16:16 (twenty years ago)

Actually, we were planning on a dub-reggae jam-session followed by our 20-minute cover of AC/DC's "The Jack".

Hurting (Hurting), Monday, 21 March 2005 16:18 (twenty years ago)

HOORAY!

Ned Raggett (Ned), Monday, 21 March 2005 16:20 (twenty years ago)

I'm a-goin'.

Dr Morbius (Dr Morbius), Monday, 21 March 2005 16:55 (twenty years ago)

So at this point anyone else in? This looks to be the first demi-official get-together of the weekend. :-)
