Which Bands Would Have Been Better Loved Had They Never Existed?

Meaning bands that nobody had any strong feelings about until they were actually brought into existence, at which point people said "This is so ridiculous" and started to hate them. Examples: Sha Na Na. Nine Inch Nails. Jerry Murad's Fabulous Harmonicats. Jive Bunny & the Mixmasters. The group that sang that song that sounded like Nirvana last year.

this is essentially the same question as bands better in theory than reality

"Harmon...Harmon...HARMON...HARMON...HARMONICATS...HOOOOOOOO!!!!"

That said, merritt is right. Jive Bunny was an abomination against God and Nature, and everything Nine Inch Nails did after "Pretty Hate Machine" was unbearable.

Jive Bunny were crap, but very talented. Who else was doing mashups other than maybe the KLF at the time?
