You mean like Bill Berry jumping onstage or somethin'?

joseph cotten (joseph cotten), Tuesday, 3 May 2005 18:15 (twenty years ago)

THE

SMITHS.

It's gonna happen.

BlastsOfStatic (BlastsofStatic), Tuesday, 3 May 2005 18:16 (twenty years ago)

I fear they may be short 1 rhythm section.

Failin Huxley (noodle vague), Tuesday, 3 May 2005 18:16 (twenty years ago)

Gotta keep the faith.

BlastsOfStatic (BlastsofStatic), Tuesday, 3 May 2005 18:19 (twenty years ago)

The Pistols' 30th anniversary sideshow should be due soon.

Failin Huxley (noodle vague), Tuesday, 3 May 2005 18:20 (twenty years ago)

Don't be fucking ridiculous, Brainwasher.

MARK MY WORDS.

The Brainwasher (Twilight), Tuesday, 3 May 2005 18:20 (twenty years ago)

Talking Heads.

Ian John50n (orion), Tuesday, 3 May 2005 18:21 (twenty years ago)

Are you interpreting soon as "sometime during the next decade?

TV's Mr Noodle Vague (noodle vague), Tuesday, 3 May 2005 18:27 (twenty years ago)

Actually, wouldn't it be great if out of the blue MBV dropped the new album and it sounded like an (even worse version of) The Bravery?

TV's Mr Noodle Vague (noodle vague), Tuesday, 3 May 2005 18:28 (twenty years ago)

Talking Heads won't happen until Byrne gets tired of his solo career and Luaka/Bop and various art book adventures, which doesn't look like its gonna happen any time soon. Pavement will reunite in, oh 10 years or so, after the diminishing returns of Malkie's solo albums run thoroughly dry... the Smiths = never.

Shakey Mo Collier, Tuesday, 3 May 2005 18:29 (twenty years ago)

Well maybe not soon, but the Smashing Pumpkins will eventually, I predict.

PB, Tuesday, 3 May 2005 18:30 (twenty years ago)

the smiths should have done it already, I really doubt they will now, it wouldn't be good

kyle (akmonday), Tuesday, 3 May 2005 18:30 (twenty years ago)

A homunculus of Darby Crash, .... created for the purposes of *EVIL* (ex machina, Tuesday, 3 May 2005 18:31 (twenty years ago)

I wouldn't rule out Morrissey/Marr at some point. Both are drama queenie enough to wanna do it. To be honest, who gives a toss about the other two?

TV's Mr Noodle Vague (noodle vague), Tuesday, 3 May 2005 18:33 (twenty years ago)

Who gives a toss about Marr right now? Or Morrissey for that matter.

OnlyBrits, Tuesday, 3 May 2005 18:49 (twenty years ago)

Quite lot of young latino men, apparently. Morrissey will never do it.

Shakey Mo Collier, Tuesday, 3 May 2005 18:51 (twenty years ago)

Husker Du. It's about time. Grant Hart and Bob Mould played together a few months back, but haven't heard any plans for a full scale reunion as of now. I don't see what's holding them back, they've had 18 years to say what they want to say as solo artists.

kornrulez6969 (TCBeing), Tuesday, 3 May 2005 18:53 (twenty years ago)

Jesse and the 8th Street Kids

PB, Tuesday, 3 May 2005 18:53 (twenty years ago)

I don't see it happening any time soon, but for fuck's sake, if Sly Stone could just give it one more go...

nickalicious (nickalicious), Tuesday, 3 May 2005 18:54 (twenty years ago)

Stone Roses.

Cabaret Voltaire.

(or have CV already done stuff together again?)

mark e (mark e), Tuesday, 3 May 2005 19:02 (twenty years ago)

Wait a while longer for The Smashing Pumpkins and Pavement. Their reunions are inevitable, but probably won't happen til at least ten years pass after the break up. So probably around 2009 or 2010.

Matthew C Perpetua (inca), Tuesday, 3 May 2005 19:04 (twenty years ago)

Paul and Ringo.

mike a, Tuesday, 3 May 2005 19:06 (twenty years ago)

The Ramones, if you believe in an afterlife.

mike a, Tuesday, 3 May 2005 19:06 (twenty years ago)

Damon and Graham..... eventually.

ZionTrain, Tuesday, 3 May 2005 19:29 (twenty years ago)

I remember reading that Graham already rejoined Blur..

The Brainwasher (Twilight), Tuesday, 3 May 2005 19:44 (twenty years ago)

unless this is refering to something else ..

mark e (mark e), Tuesday, 3 May 2005 19:54 (twenty years ago)

Husker Du seconded.
The Replacements, too. Apparently Westerberg and Stinson have been talking?

Jazzbo (jmcgaw), Tuesday, 3 May 2005 20:28 (twenty years ago)
