Last night I had a dream that I saw Willie Nelson in concert, solo. His first song? "Stacy's Mom".

And he was backed up only by recorded beats. At one point he stopped and berated the technician for playing a backing track of which Willie did not approve.

Hate to ruin your dreams, but he always starts shows with "Whiskey River"!

I actually had a dream about Terry Allen a week ago - another Texan, coincidentally. He wasn't in the dream but I was talking to someone about how perfect "Lubbock (on everything)" is. This is the only place I'd admit to such a dream.

Just thought I'd pre-emptively strike the "SEARCH FIRST" police. But damn, that search takes f'ever, don't it?

And yeah, I know Willie always starts with Whiskey River. I've seen him five times, I think. Good times.

But this dream was so, so real. Willie even had his red, white and blue guitar strap on.

He yelled at his sound man, and said: "I only let him do this because he's my regular soundman's cousin's brother's son."

I have weird dreams.

Oh, and Willie's version of "Stacy's Mom"? Rocked. I'd YSI it if I could.

I had a dream with Adam Duritz (of Counting Crows). I think I was helping him find the missing dreadlock or maybe solve a murder...or wait--i think it was to find a pet monkey...

It's hazy now, but i do remember that it was very Scooby-Dooish.

I had a dream last night that the most notorious brothel in my city (which was just all over the local papers for employing Eastern European slave labour) had turned one room into a record shop, which housed shitloads of vinyl I'd been looking for for ages. Better still, Dave Grohl worked behind the counter and pointed his picture on the back of a Scream album out to me

Ekh... I dream about musicians all the time and not a single time have they ever been good dreams or even involved anyone I liked! Somehow, they always involve some megapopstar type - RHCP, Marilyn Manson, Kylie... They're always pretty vivid too.

My favourite nightmare that I had a couple of years ago (i say favourite because it's actually funny once i woke up) involved me being chased by every member of Westlife. It starts out with me looking for the Backstreet Boys (for some reason), and ending up in an aquatic centre where one member of Westlife was busy checking himself out and flexing his muscles and trying to seduce the fish (WTF?!!!). Then he started chasing me. As soon as I got rid of one fucker, another appeared and on and on it went.

Few weeks back, I dreamnt I was present at a video shoot for Eminem's "Kim" with Madonna as Kim. I haven't even heard "Kim" since about 2001 but it was so clear during the dream. During the shoot, Eminem dragged Madonna across the floor by her hair but as soon as the director yelled cut, Madonna got up and her hair, her clothes were somehow still completely perfect. I remember thinking that was odd but appropriate.
