yes, i saw them just before christmas. they were as immense as ever. in fact, i think it was the best i had seen them. they were super confident on stage and looked like they were having a ball.

new album out later this year.

I actually like both ESG's quite a bit. Good to hear they're still playing though.

Yep...saw 'em at DEMF 2 1/2 years ago. Pretty good. Highlights for me were the straight outta public access TV in 1982 "graphics" they had rolling on a screen behind them during the set, and the fact that the first thing their backline guy did after they were done playing was collect their purses from the stage.

Jaxon they're playing in LA as part of the ArthurBall thing - its on Friday Feb 24th (not part of a tour, as far as I know)

The LA ESG show is a "pre" ArthurBall event (i.e. the day before and a separate admission).

i saw ESG play to a VERY enthusiastic audience at ATP a cpl of years ago; david nuss of NNCK was stood in front of me and he, and everyone else, totally dug the group's STATELY groove - a joyous evening
