after catching them for a second time this past saturday at richards on richards,i was surprised to see numerous threads that mention them, but nothing definitive.

so far,i have found them to be one of the rare bands that get better with each release. also ,the live cds they issue themselves are a very nice touch for fans. just wish they were not limited releases.

oh ya,they played three new songs in their set,and it just made me want to hear them again.

so,isis = classic
search - panopticon and go backwards through their catalogue [possibly skipping the eps....save for 'sawblade']

Pretty much every time I hear something I actually like on WSOU, the local nu-metal station, it turns out to be Isis. So I say Classic. What album should I get?

Here is when I found out about Isis, thanks Scott.

Isis - Panopticon

Here is the Panopticon thread.

I found out about Isis by stumbling across Tim Hecker's Isis remixes on slsk. Defintely worth tracking down.

I was expecting more from their live show. It wasn't not loud enough, basically, and those long ambient stretches work better at home than in a club. They're playing here again later in the month and I haven't heard the new record yet so maybe I'll see them one more time.

... afterward, I found the threads Earl linked to and that sold me on their albums.
