Cover versions of showtunes

I don't mean when, say, Frank Sinatra (bless him) sings something from My Fair Lady. This here is a related thread:
Contemporary songs that borrow hooks from showtunes
but I am thinking in the main of when a rock band or similarly unlikely candidate has a go, be it in all seriousness or for a laugh. A few examples:
Afghan Whigs, "The Temple" from Jesus Christ Superstar
the Beatles, "Till There Was You" from The Music Man
and so forth. What else be there?

Dave Marsh's second version of The Book of Rock Lists included a list for this topic.

Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons recorded Cole Porter's "I've Got You Under My Skin," from the MGM musical Born to Dance (but probably familiar through Sinatra's or Ella Fitzgerald's versions).

Then you have "Blue Moon" as performed by Elvis, or the Marcels. Written by Lorenz and Hart for another MGM musical, Manhattan Melodrama (the film John Dillinger was watching right before he was shot dead by the FBI after exiting the theater ... or did they get the wrong man?)
