i like the energy, the fact its not so violent and a bit more fun (or at least it sounds a bit lighter in tone and fun-ner and more uptempo and upbeat) but after listening to several hyphy mix Cds i cant remember much about it at all. it sounds really 'exciting' and fresh, and its fun, catchy, but i just end up with 'nothing' when its over. the mcs seem kinda quirky and cool and original in a way (quite gimmicky as well if im honest) but im fucked if i can remember anything they’ve said after the track has finished. it just seems so ephemeral and effervescent.

i have heard three (3) hyphy songs EVER and i am addicted to them all. they all sound pretty different though.

balance - let the bass go (very laidback, sweltering summer evening, pacing around city streets, voice you can't tear your ears away from)
e-40 - da dummy (massively fun to dance to, skittery and jack-in-the-box bouncy, "ass like trina with some pamela lee tits")
mistah fab - city limits (built on old-school horn samples, lots of fun)

I WANT MORE - people who know about this stuff please tell me what to track down! and just general, like, info &c.
