songs that get you out of your seat, bopping your head and moving your feet

i realised that for me its hip hop like this set that makes me wanna shake it. so i dug this out of the archive, and damn its full of gold..

mixed by Prime Cuts , i still reckon this is one of the best official old school hip hop mixes out there.

haha man I love "Nothin' Serious (Only Buggin)" by Whistle.

looks awesome...it's wierd that they put Jurassic Five on there though.

yeah - i thought that at the time, but hey it fits.

guess it was at the time the label wanted to get the j5 as much exposure as possible.

or maybe Prime just thought >'fuck it, i'll slip in this new one, no-one will be able to tell

for me, part of the reason its still so great, is its a pre-mashup era mixtape. now all mixtapes have to have an exclusive mashup/bootleg to keep the USP factor up, or even worse, shout outs .. instead this set is just a few seconds of quality dj skills and into the next classic. no fuss = perfection.

if anyone likes this sort of thing the new cash money mix CD is fantastic!

if theyre still available, his older mix-Cds are worth finding as well. he knows how to put a proper mix with peaks and troughs etc etc together.

I thought he messed around with stuff more, and that I thought, "this would be nicer if this set was just a few seconds of quality dj skills and into the next classic." But probably I'm wrong.

well, i guess its all comparitive as most of the mixtapes i listen to are scratch/bootleg sets ...
