everything about them is spot-on: their name, their look, the graphics, the song and LP titles...they say the right thing in interviews, cite the right references...hell, even their manager has a cool name...but something's missing: it's the music...it sucks!...(or, maybe it just doesn't live up to the band/artist's obvious potential)...I can think of a couple of bands that fit this category for me:

1. Dr. Phibes & The House Of Wax Equations...(they even had a dreadlocked rastafarian guitarist, ala AR Kane)...pity the grey porridge they populated their records with...

2. Manic Street Preachers...(such bombast!...how could they be so on-the-money in every other aspect of the rock-star game?)
