backwards thread locked?

Why was this thread locked? There's no note of it in the admin log either.

This thread is backwards

the admin log doesn't show when a thread is locked for some reason, but if you click 'show all details' at the end of the thread, maybe you can see the reason? I don't want to log off and check due to login issues people seem to be having, but I as an mod can see the reason given as "too good to be spoilt". Obv it wasn't me who did this, and I'm inclined to unlock it unless given a better reason. I'll give it a bit of time and see if anyone fesses up.

Yeah, it seems to have been locked for the sake of comedy, which I understand, but I think this might be outside the jurisdiction of the moderators.

Yeah, we really should have a note about locking....at this point it's not clear who's locking threads, and info doesn't go into the admin log, just into the threads themselves.

I'm unlocking it now, feel free to go bump it back to the top or whatever.

Since we changed the method of locking threads, we haven't stored everything in admin log.

How easy would it be to change this so that either:
a) the "show all details" option actually logged WHO did the locking
b) that all pertinent info was placed into the Admin Log instead

Either would be fine, I think, but as it stands now the information left behind after a thread is locked means there's no accountability, which I think is important.

i wish mods are allowed to just lock threads that don't interest them personally.

It would be failry minor since the code is still around. It's just we have slightly more pressing concerns.

Mr Noodles (Mr Noodles), Tuesday, 4 January 2005 14:51 (twenty-one years ago)

That's odd. I posted a comment on that thread. and it's locked again...

mark grout (mark grout), Tuesday, 4 January 2005 15:42 (twenty-one years ago)

well you did turn the thread into fucking sub-sixth grade degenerate trash at high speed.

ken c (ken c), Tuesday, 4 January 2005 16:44 (twenty-one years ago)

Sorry, I should have noticed this thread earlier. I thought the thread had become perfect, so I locked it so that it might be preserved throughout the ages.
