IMAGES OFF error?

Mr. Perry whacked this thread with a Warholian tribute to a beloved interweb music mogul. He reposted the pic so many times that folks w/ the IMAGES OFF option active (like me!) actually see the pic about 50-500 times. Why is this happening?

it's been that way for quite some time. i think IMAGES OFF works for the first 50 times that the image is posted (in one post).
