Can someone lock one of the current excelsior threads? Like maybe the new one that was kind of premature.

ooh that's good tom! I would change the word 'settings' to be a hyperlink to the settings though.

And it has been informal tradition to start a new thread when one gets above 1000 posts, do you think this is wrong, server-load-wise?

Yeah, 1000 posts always seems like a good cutoff, especially for ongoing threads like TITTWIS and WDYLL and Excelsior and Mongrel/Sheepfuxor and Chicago (though for some reason Glasgow prefers to stay on one thread). The problem with threads that are much longer than that are that, even if you have it set to display last 100 or whatever, it's hard to search within the thread.
