What makes a good action scene?

you have beryl's leg plainly bending an impossible way vs the "all bugly muscles in place and depicted" stasis of the pic david posted ---> this is actually the only beryl pic available on the entire interweb, so a bit much rests on it, BUT it is plainly more dynamic, even in a fairly lame and tame example (possibly my fave BtP action shot is of her dad charging blindly out of the front door wielding a cutlass ---> his running body so contorted that his head is pointing 45° down towards the ground and he is therefore looking backwards AND upside down)

i am not a superhero hata, but i am personally much more drawn to the imaginative irreality side of such comix than the hyperrealistic anatomical exactness
