The I Love Comics Greatest Comics Ever Poll - Nominations Changes

OK, this thread is for three purposes -

- The people who haven't nominated four comics to add the extra ones (if they want to). I think this may only be the mighty David A Simpson though.

- The people who want to change a nomination to do so. If you want to switch a nomination then make it easy for everyone by doing it in the format -

OUT: [comic you're deselecting]
IN: [comic you're selecting]

- People to tell me of creator attribution errors.

Here's the nominations list. Voting begins on Wednesday, after which no more changes can be made.

Spy Vs Spy was by Prohias.

Chriddof (Chriddof), Monday, 1 November 2004 13:02 (twenty years ago)

OUT: the story of the vivian girls etc etc (Darger) cuz noone will vote for it and some might say it's not really a comic

IN: epileptic by david b.

i am assuming people may only denominate stuff they nominated in the first place (let us not be choads to each other). also perhaps if a nomination is seconded or someone goes 'gah! don't denominate that one!' it be added back to the list since there were things people may have nominated but did not becuz it was already nominated, said items of which may now be denominated, prompting potential vicious cycle. also i must protest that alaister j. featherpecker's nominations seem to have gone missing and this smacks of, um, censorship, political correctness gone awry, the black hand of the anti-marmaduke faction, etc. please remedy yo.

cinniblount (James Blount), Monday, 1 November 2004 14:04 (twenty years ago)

Epileptic! OMG! That totally rockets to the top of my list. Thanks for nominating that, it's fabu.

ng, Monday, 1 November 2004 14:52 (twenty years ago)

Seaguy is Morrison/Stewart, not Morrison/Cassaday.

Matt Maxwell (Matt M.), Monday, 1 November 2004 14:57 (twenty years ago)

Updated the Spy v. Spy, Seaguy, and Chunky Rice entries.

Someone persuade me to keep Sin City in at the expense of Cages.

"Dykes to Watch Out For" is by Alison Bechdel, not Bechtel.

Tuomas (Tuomas), Monday, 1 November 2004 18:17 (twenty years ago)

Er, no it isn't. It's Cruse.

Tuomas (Tuomas), Monday, 1 November 2004 19:20 (twenty years ago)

That was a typo on my part, but it's amazing how well my foot (including sock, shoe + laces) is fitting in my mouth right now.

ng, Monday, 1 November 2004 20:31 (twenty years ago)

Hey Chuck, if you want to change your Plastic Man nom to 4th World, I'll change my 4th World one to Plastic Man. Can you please action this, Tom?

-- Martin Skidmore (lonewolf.cu...), November 1st, 2004.

There's something sublime about that suggestion.

Not That Chuck, Monday, 1 November 2004 21:39 (twenty years ago)

For the simple reason that only about 3 voters have seen The Destructivore...

Vic Fluro, Monday, 1 November 2004 22:42 (twenty years ago)

I was going to switch Beatniks A Go Go for the UFS but now I'll switch it for something else (don't want to split the Fluro vote).

Everyone should see The Destructivore.

Tom (Groke), Tuesday, 2 November 2004 07:53 (twenty years ago)

epileptic was a massive oversight on my part, i went with elfquest, my childhood fave. :-\

gygax! (gygax!), Wednesday, 3 November 2004 06:22 (twenty years ago)
