what deaner was talking about?

The wash is out
It's hanging up
And all I have
Is nothing
Nothing to do
Nothing to say
I think I must be dreaming

The sun comes up and I'm all washed out
Is this what Deaner was talkin' about
I don't think I will ever return again my friend

If I was king
I'd wear a ring
And never hurt my people
I'd stay alert
And dress to kill
I might even slip you something

The sun comes up and I'm all washed out
Is this what Deaner was talkin' about
I don't think I will ever return again my friend

The sun comes up and I'm all washed out

I don't think I will ever return again my friend

i love that fucking song

AaronHz (AaronHz), Tuesday, 3 August 2004 17:23 (twenty-one years ago)

Deaner's so dreamy! Gene can lick my taint, though, ugh.

nickalicious (nickalicious), Tuesday, 3 August 2004 17:24 (twenty-one years ago)

hi nickalicious!

cutty (mcutt), Tuesday, 3 August 2004 17:24 (twenty-one years ago)

Gene's real name is Aaron, yo.

AaronHz (AaronHz), Tuesday, 3 August 2004 17:24 (twenty-one years ago)

Totally. Gene = Aaron. Dean = Mickey.

nickalicious (nickalicious), Tuesday, 3 August 2004 17:39 (twenty-one years ago)

(FWIW I actually think they're both hella cute duders.)

nickalicious (nickalicious), Tuesday, 3 August 2004 17:42 (twenty-one years ago)

Deaner is talking about W0LF 3Y35.

ddb (ddb), Tuesday, 3 August 2004 21:54 (twenty-one years ago)

DUDEZ I JUST GOT LIVE IN CHICAGO TODAY BUT I HAVEN'T OPENED IT YET.
ANYONE ELSE HAVE IT YET?
SHOULD I LISTEN TO TEH CD OR WATCH THE DVD FIRST?
KTHNXBYE

AaronHz (AaronHz), Thursday, 12 August 2004 00:03 (twenty-one years ago)

this ween dvd is hella sick so far dudes

AaronHz (AaronHz), Thursday, 12 August 2004 02:54 (twenty-one years ago)

Okay. Be sure to get the new Ween Live in Chicago CD/DVD set if you still like Ween AT ALL. I knew they were a good live band but this exceeded my expectations. Deaner really rips it up on guitar live (even moreso than on the records, he sounds like he's alternately channeling Hendrix and David Gilmour, pretty awesome), and the older songs that are wimpy little dink drum machine songs on CD turn into monster fucking huge hard rock songs live (their live drummer is incredible).
They even close with "The Blarney Stone" on the DVD! (The audio disc is the same recordings but some songs are edited out to fit the CD length restrictions.)
Anyways, a solid thumbs up from me, check it out.

AaronHz (AaronHz), Thursday, 12 August 2004 18:43 (twenty-one years ago)

Have you not seen 'em in concert mang? They are killer.

The best of the wimpy little drum machine songs turned bad-ass live rockout-with-your-cock-out jamz = "Dr. Rock".

Last time I saw em Deaner had a TALKBOX.

nickalicious (nickalicious), Thursday, 12 August 2004 18:49 (twenty-one years ago)

I saw them two nights in a row back in ... umm .. 1996? They were booed heavily both nights.

dean? (deangulberry), Thursday, 12 August 2004 18:51 (twenty-one years ago)

dean, that's your first posting on this thread... and it was dedicated to you. cocksmoker!

cutty (mcutt), Thursday, 12 August 2004 18:53 (twenty-one years ago)

I LUB U CUTTY BUT I HATE WEEN

GO PISS UP A ROPE

dean? (deangulberry), Thursday, 12 August 2004 18:54 (twenty-one years ago)

(i was one of those kids booing them ... how can ween follow jawbreaker? seriously)

dean? (deangulberry), Thursday, 12 August 2004 18:55 (twenty-one years ago)

"Dr. Rock" is on the DVD nick and it was great. "Big Jilm" was pretty cool live too.

AaronHz (AaronHz), Thursday, 12 August 2004 19:15 (twenty-one years ago)

i think the question is, who would book ween and jawbreaker together, seriously?

cutty (mcutt), Thursday, 12 August 2004 19:17 (twenty-one years ago)

how can ween follow jawbreaker?

I walked out one or two songs into the only jawbreaker show I went to.

i think the question is, who would book ween and jawbreaker together, seriously?

It was Foo Fighters > Ween > Jawbreaker, so they hit Ween in between two good bands. It was a setup.

Ween fucking pwns Jawbreaker
*raspberry*

Aaron, you're from Santa Rosa, so GOD has pwned you.

the one Jawbreaker show I went to, I was working. I still managed to miss most of their set (thank god).

fuck jawbreaker seriously, i was just thinking about how "everyone" (ie douchebags) thinks they're so great an sincere....

I never said they were sincere. I just enjoyed them. I really don't think Jawbreaker is worthy of hate. You're projecting, maybe?

dean? (deangulberry), Thursday, 12 August 2004 19:24 (twenty-one years ago)

Also, I tease. Ween is not bad.

I don't really give a fuck either way but i still think they suck and always did.

I talked to the bass player before that show and didn't know it was him and gave him some attitude. when i found out he was the jawbreaker bass player i was glad i was mean to him.

AaronHz (AaronHz), Thursday, 12 August 2004 19:41 (twenty-one years ago)

AaronHz (AaronHz), Thursday, 12 August 2004 19:44 (twenty-one years ago)

i'd say that adds to your "not chilling"

cutty (mcutt), Thursday, 12 August 2004 19:44 (twenty-one years ago)

AaronHz (AaronHz), Thursday, 12 August 2004 19:46 (twenty-one years ago)

if i were any mellower i'd be comatose. i'm not the one running around screaming neener neener, friend. i actually don't care for jawbreaker, but i think it's funny how worked up they got you (and jon).

lauren (laurenp), Thursday, 12 August 2004 19:54 (twenty-one years ago)

I must admit that finding this thread just made me laugh like a maniac tho:
ADMIN: NO JAWBREAKER GEEKS

AaronHz (AaronHz), Thursday, 12 August 2004 19:56 (twenty-one years ago)

You're too old to have ever been into Jawbreaker.

DUDE, first time I ever went to SF (1991), I stayed with my NOIZE FRIEND Bruce (who is 4 years older than me) and he lived in a shithole apt. at 20th/Mission (for $150/mo., that's how fucking shitty the mission was at that point in history). his next door neighbors were 2 of the guys in jawbreaker (the main dude and the drummer). Bruce thought they were a crappy band. i didn't mind them that much (i liked them a lot more a year or two later). but at the time they had 2 albums out. in 1991. at that time dean you were listening to mc hammer shut up.

gygax! (gygax!), Thursday, 12 August 2004 19:57 (twenty-one years ago)

i have never heard a single ween song aside from their work on Z-TRIP HAWAII.

gygax! (gygax!), Thursday, 12 August 2004 19:57 (twenty-one years ago)

here I'll just quote this out of context:
Ween > Jawbreaker
and now all is right with the world.
