The Foundation (a continually misleading organization known for going long on promises, short on delivery with regard to lineup, dates and venues of the ATP festivals) had a claim last night on their site that there will be a Slint reunion at next year's ATP festival in camber sands. the claim no longer appears on their site.

did you know anything about this?

We don't do that in our spare time! That's our job, dude!

gygax! - Britt said nothing about this when I ran into him two weeks ago. Also a "reliable source" (at least way more reliable to me than Barry what's-his-face from ATP) told me that Brian is no longer playing music.

hstencil, do you have any more good David Yow anecdotes?

AdamL :') (nordicskilla), Wednesday, 4 August 2004 01:28 (twenty-one years ago)

or failing that, some good stories concerning the members of the band URGE OVERKILL?

AdamL :') (nordicskilla), Wednesday, 4 August 2004 01:29 (twenty-one years ago)

the UO anecdote I have is one time, when I lived near Schuba's in Chicago, I was walking to the Belmont Red Line stop to go to work and spotted a very pissed-off looking Eddie "King" Roeser in black and white zebra-striped pants walking around. This was like 8:30 in the morning, so I'm sure it was early for him.

"Back tracking from a previous news story (now removed), we at DiS would like to set the story straight and inform you that Slint are definitely NOT confirmed for All Tomorrow’s Parties this Christmas.
There will indeed be a special Christmas festival to take place between 3rd and 5th of December at Camber Sands, but details of bands playing are yet to be confirmed. It does however, seem unlikely that Slint will be playing.

We do know that the event, delightfully named ‘The Nightmare Before Christmas’, is to be curated by Dinos and Jake Chapman.

The line-up is expected to be announced very soon, and Drowned in Sound have been promised an exclusive list of all those playing first, so stay tuned.

We certainly don’t condone wandering through other people’s servers and taking half-formed information."

thanks, that will suffice!

can I get rid of this image now since ATP's site is password protected?
