Do they lead high-stress lives?

n/a (Nick A.), Friday, 6 May 2005 15:08 (twenty years ago)

Why are you so fascinated by "noize dudes"?

Leonard Thompson (Grodd), Friday, 6 May 2005 15:15 (twenty years ago)

if you are referring to AARON, he is NOT a noise dude.

cutty (mcutt), Friday, 6 May 2005 15:22 (twenty years ago)

EXACTLY!

%wise I see far more mental instability elsewhere in the ILXverse -- definitely more pathetic cries for help in pseudo anonymous threads or the same sob stories restarted at least once a year at most, "change" inexplicably removed from the ILX dictionary -- much more rage, and questionable mental health expressed varyingly as extreme misanthropy, self loathing, OCD, etc. Then, again, I could be completely wrong as I am 99.9% of the time.

leonard thompson, who ARE you

mark p (Mark P), Friday, 6 May 2005 15:32 (twenty years ago)

I am A noize DUDE and ALWAYS have BEEN.

Leonard Thompson (Grodd), Friday, 6 May 2005 15:43 (twenty years ago)

ilx breakdowns i'm aware of include anthony, ramosi, aaron, and kate, none of whom are "noise dudes"

Amateur(ist) (Amateur(ist)), Friday, 6 May 2005 15:45 (twenty years ago)

To be perfectly clear, "change" isn't usually in my dictionary either, so this no pot calling the kettle black -- just a moment of clarity in the perpetual haze.

Leonard Thompson (Grodd), Friday, 6 May 2005 15:49 (twenty years ago)

leonard thompson, who ARE you

mark p (Mark P), Friday, 6 May 2005 15:50 (twenty years ago)

no different than i always am here.

Leonard Thompson (Grodd), Friday, 6 May 2005 15:51 (twenty years ago)

i don't know if kate has actually ever had a breakdown on ilx, it's more like one permanent breakdown

Amateur(ist) (Amateur(ist)), Friday, 6 May 2005 15:55 (twenty years ago)

i dont think ive had a meltdown. but then, i dont think im a noise dude. in retrospect, i dont even think ive been to trader joes. i definitely havent been to scotland though. that much, im sure of

charltonlido (gareth), Friday, 6 May 2005 16:02 (twenty years ago)

you r noize. your denial confirms your status.

Leonard Thompson (Grodd), Friday, 6 May 2005 16:02 (twenty years ago)

Dean Gulberry's Meltdown

n/a (Nick A.), Friday, 6 May 2005 16:04 (twenty years ago)

So that's, um, one. But ok. Sorry for casting aspersions, I guess I was just...wrong.

n/a (Nick A.), Friday, 6 May 2005 16:05 (twenty years ago)

I'll go back to lurking now.

n/a (Nick A.), Friday, 6 May 2005 16:06 (twenty years ago)

I'm not aware of "Dean" melting at anytime. Please clarify with a 100 or more word essay fully developing your theory. You have fifteen minutes total time to compose your answer beginning . . . now.

Leonard Thompson (Grodd), Friday, 6 May 2005 16:07 (twenty years ago)

Mark is right...Where did Leonard Thompson come from????

Sonny, Ah!!1 (Sonny A.), Friday, 6 May 2005 17:24 (twenty years ago)

buzzcocks "breakdown" comes to mind...

If I seem a little jittery I can't restrain myself
I'm falling into fancy fragments - can't contain myself
I'm gonna breakdown - breakdown yes

Now I can stand austerity but it gets a little much
when there's all these livid things that you never get to touch
I'm gonna breakdown ...

I feel me brain like porridge coming out of me ears
and I was anticipating reverie
I've taken leave of me senses - and I'm in arrears
my legs buckle over - I'm living on my knees
I'm gonna breakdown ...

Whatever makes me tick it takes away my concentration
sets my hands a-trembling - gives me frustration
I'm gonna breakdown ...

So I hear that two is company for me it's plenty trouble
though my double thoughts are clearer now that I am seeing double
I'm gonna breakdown ...

Oh mum can I grow out of what's too big for me?
I'll give up that ghost before it gives up me
I wander loaded as a crowd - a nowhere wolf of pain
Living next to nothing - my nevermind remains
I'm gonna breakdown ...

leonard is a figment of an apparition of an iota of a wooly mammoth talking through a pillow into a walkie talkie orbiting a satellite hurdling around an olympic shotput value pack, no rebate on 5, no membership required, no visa or mastercard accepted. all der stuka, all the time.

PEOPLE OVER 60 = ALWAYS WORTHY OF RIDICULE

gabbneb (gabbneb), Friday, 6 May 2005 17:28 (twenty years ago)

Can Mary fry some fish Mama
Cause I'm as hungry as can be
Oh lordy how I wish mama
you could keep that baby quiet cause my head is killing me

I saw my Ex again last night Mama
She was at the dance at Millers store
She was with that Jackie White Mama
I killed them both and they're buried under Jenkin's Sicamore

I You think I'm Psycho don't you mama
Mama pour me a cup
I You think I'm Psycho don't you mama
you'd better let 'em lock me up

Don't hand me Johnny's pup mama
Cause I might squeeze him too tight
I'm having crazy dreams again mama
so let me tell ya 'bout last night

I woke up in Johnny's room mama
standin' right there by his bed
With my hands around his throat Mama
wishing both of us were dead

Ya think I'm Psycho don't you mama
I just killed Johnny's pup
Ya think I'm Psycho don't you mama
you'd better let 'em lock me up

You know that little girl next door mama
I believe her name was Betty Clark
Well don't tell me shes dead mama
cause I just saw her in the park

We were sitting on a bench Mama
thinkin' of a game to play
Seems I was holdin' a wrench Mama
and my mind just walked away

Ya think I'm Psycho don't you mama
I didn't mean to break your cup
Ya think I'm Psycho don't you mama
Oh mama why don't you get up

OHMIGOD, the idea of someone that actually played a huge part in your emotional life still having an effect, albeit a negative one, on one's emotions!!! Shockah! God, you have the Emotional IQ of a sodding nematode, Amateurist.

Today I am angry and just want to smash up this tyranny of niceness that makes people think that it is somehow good or right to stay "friends". I have the right not to stay friends. I have the right to be angry, even if that makes for messy moments and awkward edges. I have the right to want to kick exes in the teeth when they introduce me to their dates so we can be all cuddley and friendly and FUCK YOU this is for your benefit, not mine, go to hell, etc. and so forth.
