I saw Sleep once around '94 or so and they had a movie projector and showed a film of U.S. astronauts walking on the moon while they played. They were good. They had those Green amps, made by the guy who designed the Orange amps, if I remember correctly. (They sounded awesome.) They were opening for "Nik Turner's Hawkwind" when they did that U.S. tour with Helios Creed on guitar. Helios Creed walked in front of my table right after Sleep played and was looking dismayed and said to someone in his party: "Too Loud."

one year passes...

saw High on Fire last night w/Big Business & the Bronx opening. big business were seriously the business. their drummer is fucking amazing. the bronx kinda sucked and looked like frat boys, but the singer had great stage presence. i dont' think i really like the new HoF album so wasnt' too into the show. there were a surprising amount of hot chicks there.
