Anything really, what are your choices?

You only need one

the kit! (g-kit), Monday, 6 March 2006 12:16 (nineteen years ago)

might not run on my PC

does the PS2 have any online games, other than the Res Evil Outbreak game ?

Ste (Fuzzy), Monday, 6 March 2006 16:04 (nineteen years ago)

Burnout 3 had fun online stuff. I guess the newer one probably does too.

JimD (JimD), Monday, 6 March 2006 16:30 (nineteen years ago)

all ps2 games are online now, no?

sunny successor (katharine), Monday, 6 March 2006 19:05 (nineteen years ago)

not mine they're not

i just tried xbox live, what a joke
Battlefront 2 just didn't want to let me into any of the games, and most of them i had to download some expansion pack for £3.25 !! The nerve.
and there was only 2 people from the whole universe playing Outrun.

i'll stick with PC for multiplay i think

Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory is ridiculous amounts of fun assuming you have friends you cna play it with. But playing with randoms is less hot. CS:S is always a good bet for some good ol' shooting terrorist in the face action. While WoW is the most fun I ever had playing a multiplayer online game, it ate up giant amounts of my time and I only recommend it if you're going to play an MMO anyway. Most of the onlnie games I play I don't play with randoms because I don't like people that much... oh, I remembered a fun one: Gunbound. It's free, online, and it's like a cute Korean version of Worms. Lots of fun! Type it in google, I forget thier site.

i love playing with randoms, in a different way i like playing with friends. i prefer playing all out death matches with randoms, then i don't have to coop with anyone and i also don't accidentally shoot one of my own team mates and instantly become hated.

i was playing delta force 2 this morning, i'd forgotten how much fun that can be. it seems to crash a lot though.

you should deffo give CS Sauce a try, your machine should be fine running it unless it's hella rubbish. and even then i could send you some configs that would tweak performance.

the kit! (g-kit), Thursday, 9 March 2006 12:02 (nineteen years ago)

i was chatting to someone last night about it, he said my machine would be fine. i didn't realise the game was as old as it was, i thought it was a recent release.

i will give it a go soon.

Ste (Fuzzy), Thursday, 9 March 2006 13:34 (nineteen years ago)

well, there are two versions. normal CS is version 1.6, which we don't play. i played it a LOT in my youth, but now i've moved on. [ILX] now play CS Source, which is the HL2 version, so it's kinda recent.

the kit! (g-kit), Thursday, 9 March 2006 13:38 (nineteen years ago)

what about racing games or flight sims, combat or otherwise, is there any recommendations for these types?

i would just love to play something like destruction derby 2 against randoms.

Ste (Fuzzy), Thursday, 9 March 2006 14:29 (nineteen years ago)

Speaking of CS:S, is there a fixed server you play on, since I have finally installed it?

I would be interested as to the content of these super-charged configs, too...

i couldn't get it to work on Xbox,

don't bother with XIII btw, truly awful in every way

Ste (Fuzzy), Thursday, 9 March 2006 19:45 (nineteen years ago)

i bought it yesterday :/

jeffrey (johnson), Thursday, 9 March 2006 21:19 (nineteen years ago)

shit, i haven't tried XIII yet

kingfish da notorious teletabby (kingfish 2.0), Thursday, 9 March 2006 22:33 (nineteen years ago)

the multiplay is seriously lacking in any variety.

Ste (Fuzzy), Friday, 10 March 2006 01:28 (nineteen years ago)

(but having said that, I'm no expert so I may be missing something vital)

Ste (Fuzzy), Friday, 10 March 2006 01:28 (nineteen years ago)

tissp, do you got msn? if so, add my kittenslikemilk address and we can sort out configs. we usually play on UESC Monkey Brothel server. if you google it, you'll find a server status screen you can cut/paste the IP address from. don't forget to add [ILX] tags to your name so we can recognise all you noobs.

the kit! (g-kit), Friday, 10 March 2006 10:46 (nineteen years ago)

I'll do that. The [ILX] tag is already there, so I have been venturing out on the internet to embarrass myself and ILX.

sixteen years pass...

Our group is looking for something new after playing a bunch of Wildermyth, with the following requirements:

Supports up to 5 players
Doesn't require fast reflexes
Cross platform (PC and Mac)

Nice to haves, but not dealbreakers:
On Steam
Lets us do funny voices
Not $60

A couple suggestions bandied about have been Baldur's Gate 2 and Gloomhaven.

Whoops, "up to" should be "at least."
