Fun with immature/sophomoric game naming

THis is the thread for your most 10-year-old-like game immaturity. For example, my guy in Animal Crossing DS is named "Felchman," and told the ornery pig/cat think to start saying "goatlicker" to people instead of "swine."

This thread also entails your more base humor for RPG naming selections. I got tired of naming Link "Beavis" in all the Zelda games, so i've switched over to "Nads", which flows better.

For a while in my AC, Roald had the catchphrase "ya cünt". It seemed like a hilarious idea at the time, but I immediately felt awful about it when I first saw him say it. When he moved away I was semi-mortified that he may have travelled to a friend's town and started verbally abusing them, and semi-relieved that he'd never yell "teh_kit! ya cünt!" ever again.

Yeah, when I played Final Fantasy 7, at the start I thought Tifa was Cloud's sister so I named Cloud after me and Tifa after my sister. Turns out the whole game was about me trying to fuck my sister, so I never finished it.

That's still one of the greatest stories ever.

I was just on the verge of changing an AC character's catchphrase to "'sup bitch?" until my wife reminded me that it's the kids' game and this was not good. I had Samson the mouse calling everybody "noob" for a while tho.

A lot of my console RPG characters were called Anus.

I named my Character in Starwars KOTOR Spoiler McMOD-EDIT so when the twist happened people were saying hang on you mean Spoiler McMOD-EDIT is really Spoiler McMOD-EDIT?! I never suspected Spoiler McMOD-EDIT was secretly Spoiler McMOD-EDIT. Ws fun for a while then I hit my cat.

TOMBO7 (TOMBOT), Friday, 26 January 2007 17:16 (eighteen years ago)

i always call myself cock battlechest, or, where there's enough space, senator cock battlechest.

This is what we always did playing Oregon Trail in middle school.

There are few pleasures greater in life than reading "TITS died of dysentery" or "BALLSAC is sick."

BAN DARRAMOUSS

I was on a yank cs server last night and someone said that on mic. How I laughed then got banned.

Darramouss! (Darramouss), Friday, 26 January 2007 18:27 (eighteen years ago)

but when he said it, did he spell it rite??

I always got pissed off when street fighters II-MCLVII would replace my hilarious attempts at entering 'ass' in the top scores with 'cap'. Fuck you Capcom.

I told one of my Animal Crossing guys to start saying "up the bum!" for a catchphrase, thinking it wouldn't work so well, but TBH I recommend you all do it. She comes up to me and says things like "I've got something to give you, up the bum!" and "Will you help me catch a cockroach, up the bum!?"

It's so hilarious another of my animals has taken it on as his catchphrase!

AC is grebt for stupid words... I had one of the squirrels calling me zitface for ages :D

In Oblivion my mage is called Tralyssa Dark. Oh god I'm such a cliche.

Trayce (trayce), Friday, 26 January 2007 23:12 (eighteen years ago)

Character names in Oblivion are pointless as the NPC's never use your name.

Darramouss! (Darramouss), Saturday, 27 January 2007 00:12 (eighteen years ago)

Now, now, I think Sir Beavis D'Azzmonch would like to have a word with you.

I liked calling Ayla in Chrono Trigger "Me no." It made her stupid caveman English even better.

"Me no like Kino best!"

"Me no fight!"

Now, now, I think Sir Beavis D'Azzmonch would like to have a word with you.

How the Hell did you get three names on Oblivion? Have I missed something? I could have had a FUCKING TITLE!

Darramouss! (Darramouss), Saturday, 27 January 2007 03:53 (eighteen years ago)

one year passes...

i'm replaying the new FFT game and getting lots of laughs out of having named my character "Racist!"

I used to like hacking old 8 bit games and changing the names of characters. For example, I changed the character names in a fighting game to "FELLATIO SUCKANO" and "WANKO SHITO", etc.

snoball, Monday, 22 December 2008 20:54 (sixteen years ago)

Darramouss being so angry about not getting three names in Oblivion is irl lols

For some reason I've been going with Taintarion XX lately, when space allows.
