Considering that last one takes longer to load than an Emerson Lake & Palmer equipment truck, we must start anew!

nickalicious (nickalicious), Thursday, 10 April 2003 15:21 (twenty-two years ago)

For those who don't know:

A quick/easy way to post pics (if you have a link) is simply attach an "i" to the beginning of the link name, such as...

"i http://blahblahwhoopwhoop.stuff" (but without a space between the "i" and the address)

nickalicious (nickalicious), Thursday, 10 April 2003 15:24 (twenty-two years ago)

(you could always just change your settings to display the last 25, 50 or 100 messages) (I don't have any new pictures of me)

jel -- (jel), Thursday, 10 April 2003 15:27 (twenty-two years ago)

Well, here are my feet again then:

my most recent picture, taken because these guys thought they had to have at least 1 girl in their scooter club in order for it be an authentic club. So me on my scooter making a "don't take a picture of me face but if you do once I get off this thing I'm going to break off the exhaust pipe and stick it in your scoothole."

Carey (Carey), Thursday, 10 April 2003 15:58 (twenty-two years ago)

Sorry for the nostril shot.

Bryan (Bryan), Thursday, 10 April 2003 16:01 (twenty-two years ago)

I love the face Nick's bassist is making; like she's torn between getting into the groove and being like sooo over this.

Anyway, the me:

nickalicious (nickalicious), Thursday, 10 April 2003 16:15 (twenty-two years ago)

What I look like is here...

http://www.ampcon.freeserve.co.uk/ch/

Only I really ought to comb my hair next time I get photographed. Otherwise, it's unfortunately quite accurate.

ChristineSH (chrissie1068), Thursday, 10 April 2003 16:41 (twenty-two years ago)

Every single one of you is really hott. No, I'm not fishing.

I'm not.

Mark C (Mark C), Thursday, 10 April 2003 16:47 (twenty-two years ago)

The one of you from December 02 is better IMO, Christine.

Bryan (Bryan), Thursday, 10 April 2003 16:47 (twenty-two years ago)

I love yr smirk Christine!

nickalicious (nickalicious), Thursday, 10 April 2003 16:47 (twenty-two years ago)

The picture of you is nice, Mark C.

hstencil, Thursday, 10 April 2003 16:48 (twenty-two years ago)

Actually, Mark, my feet are hot right now. **beats self with ruler for making the worst joke of all time**

Bryan (Bryan), Thursday, 10 April 2003 16:50 (twenty-two years ago)

jel, you look a little bit like me, when my hair isn't covering my face. But I bet you're taller.

Nordicskillz (Nordicskillz), Thursday, 10 April 2003 16:50 (twenty-two years ago)

Nifty shirt, too.

Nordicskillz (Nordicskillz), Thursday, 10 April 2003 16:51 (twenty-two years ago)

http://sweb.uky.edu/~cdcpre0/minusworld/images/rflshot.jpg

I should really get my own camera instead of scanning from id photos.

cprek (cprek), Thursday, 10 April 2003 16:55 (twenty-two years ago)

You look like Neil Tennant!

Nordicskillz (Nordicskillz), Thursday, 10 April 2003 16:56 (twenty-two years ago)

And here's an old one of Nickalicious. (gotcha)

http://sweb.uky.edu/~cdcpre0/minusworld/images/nickkeys2.jpg

cprek (cprek), Thursday, 10 April 2003 16:58 (twenty-two years ago)

...And what is Sean C looking at????

Nordicskillz (Nordicskillz), Thursday, 10 April 2003 17:02 (twenty-two years ago)

One day I'll scan a new picture of me, but as the original seems to have become a Photoshop icon around here...

Ned Raggett (Ned), Thursday, 10 April 2003 17:03 (twenty-two years ago)

Yeah, but dude, that picture should be in elementary school by now!

Nicole (Nicole), Thursday, 10 April 2003 17:06 (twenty-two years ago)

Ha ha! I don't have nearly enough instruments within arms' reach!

Cprek looks like a cop in that pic (he couldn't look any less like a cop IRL).

nickalicious (nickalicious), Thursday, 10 April 2003 17:11 (twenty-two years ago)

Ned, you make for great photoshop fun.

Chris V. (Chris V), Thursday, 10 April 2003 17:17 (twenty-two years ago)

Flock of Nedgulls was by far the greatest thing ever.

cprek (cprek), Thursday, 10 April 2003 17:26 (twenty-two years ago)

This is my foot.

http://bitchcakes.topcities.com/images/result.jpg

Ally (mlescaut), Thursday, 10 April 2003 17:37 (twenty-two years ago)

Your 'foot' looks suspiciously like a leg.

mark p (Mark P), Thursday, 10 April 2003 17:38 (twenty-two years ago)

Your joke looks suspiciously like the joke I crossposted with it.

nabisco (nabisco), Thursday, 10 April 2003 17:39 (twenty-two years ago)

Bryan, that's December 2000. Of course, I've aged terribly since then.

The smirk is a facial deformity, I think.

ChristineSH (chrissie1068), Thursday, 10 April 2003 17:39 (twenty-two years ago)

Nickalicious, that face that Ariel (bass player) is making is hopefully a face of extreme concentration, since she's been playing bass for less than a year. But yeah, it''s more likely that she's trying to look cool.

Nick A. (Nick A.), Thursday, 10 April 2003 17:42 (twenty-two years ago)

OK FINE YOU PEDANTS IT'S NOT JUST MY FOOT!

Ally (mlescaut), Thursday, 10 April 2003 17:44 (twenty-two years ago)

It's barely got your foot! (Haha, get it, "barely"?)

My computer still refuses to acknowedlge that Christine's website exists!

Chris P (Chris P), Thursday, 10 April 2003 17:46 (twenty-two years ago)

It's your RESULT!

Sean Carruthers (SeanC), Thursday, 10 April 2003 17:46 (twenty-two years ago)

Heh. 'Pedants'.

mark p (Mark P), Thursday, 10 April 2003 17:48 (twenty-two years ago)

The smirk is a facial deformity, I think.

Oh drat, sorry! I just thought you were wearing this sort of "what, me, laugh? at that?" look of slightly-entertained-but-more-annoyed expression, like your sense-of-humor-bone is being tickled just enough for you to notice but not enough for you to laugh. Even if it's a, um, "deformity", it's quite sexy.

nickalicious (nickalicious), Thursday, 10 April 2003 17:50 (twenty-two years ago)

Actually, it's an uncommitted smile. That reflects my mood about 50% of the time.

ChristineSH (chrissie1068), Thursday, 10 April 2003 17:52 (twenty-two years ago)

It's got my whole foot in it! You people are sick foot fetishists.

Ally (mlescaut), Thursday, 10 April 2003 17:55 (twenty-two years ago)

I count ZERO toes.

mark p (Mark P), Thursday, 10 April 2003 17:56 (twenty-two years ago)

Here, this is my family, maybe this will appease the picture Nazis.

http://bitchcakes.topcities.com/images/bridalparty.jpg [ally's enormous family now available in snack size - mark p.]

Ally (mlescaut), Thursday, 10 April 2003 17:56 (twenty-two years ago)

OH MY GOD IT'S HUGE!

Ally (mlescaut), Thursday, 10 April 2003 17:57 (twenty-two years ago)

Ally, you know Disco Stu?!?

oops (Oops), Thursday, 10 April 2003 17:58 (twenty-two years ago)

I don't see any feet in that one either.

cprek (cprek), Thursday, 10 April 2003 17:58 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm related to Disco Stu, man.

Ally (mlescaut), Thursday, 10 April 2003 17:59 (twenty-two years ago)

Jel like the facial hair dude looking like the scruff professor.

Mary (Mary), Thursday, 10 April 2003 18:01 (twenty-two years ago)

I think the facial hair gives Jel a k-Strange Days Ralph Fiennes gnarly-man look.

nickalicious (nickalicious), Thursday, 10 April 2003 18:04 (twenty-two years ago)

nickalicious yr first pic isn't working for me at all, I DEMAND AN EXPLANATION.

Ally (mlescaut), Thursday, 10 April 2003 18:12 (twenty-two years ago)

Yeah, but dude, that picture should be in elementary school by now!

It's been raised well and is housetrained.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Thursday, 10 April 2003 18:14 (twenty-two years ago)

Here's your problem Ally

Well woddya know.

Ian SPACK (Ian SPACK), Thursday, 10 April 2003 18:19 (twenty-two years ago)

underwear gnomes?

Ally (mlescaut), Thursday, 10 April 2003 18:31 (twenty-two years ago)

Sorry Christine about getting the date of the other pic wrong.

Bryan (Bryan), Thursday, 10 April 2003 18:42 (twenty-two years ago)

Ally, I have no idea. It worked just fine and dandy in the old thread. Hmmmm, maybe THIS will do it (crossing fingahs):

http://www.geocities.com/rockzonelexky/zonepics/greentheory/nick.jpg

nickalicious (nickalicious), Thursday, 10 April 2003 18:43 (twenty-two years ago)

Okay, weird, now the first one is showing...WTF?

nickalicious (nickalicious), Thursday, 10 April 2003 18:44 (twenty-two years ago)

now it's working!

teeny (teeny), Thursday, 10 April 2003 18:53 (twenty-two years ago)

I like that nickalicious has 3 microphones! Thy voice shall be heard! Or is a press conference?

jel -- (jel), Thursday, 10 April 2003 18:57 (twenty-two years ago)

Teeny! Oh no! The Make Out Club kids got a hold of your picture and cropped it savagely!

Chris P (Chris P), Thursday, 10 April 2003 18:59 (twenty-two years ago)

Wow teeny! That's just about the colour I was going to do my hair! Looks much nicer on you than it would on me though, of course!

Bryan (Bryan), Thursday, 10 April 2003 19:00 (twenty-two years ago)

Jel, I use different mics (it's actually only 2 btw), one is a clean channel and the other one is processed through effects like echo or distortion or something not quite so annoying.

nickalicious (nickalicious), Thursday, 10 April 2003 19:01 (twenty-two years ago)

I can't believe you're making fun of Teeny's disability. You know, Half-Head Syndrome (or HHS) effects .00055% of the world's population. Many successful celebrities and athletes have suffered from HHS; for example, Jim Davis, creator of Garfield. For shame, Chris. For shame.

Nick A. (Nick A.), Thursday, 10 April 2003 19:01 (twenty-two years ago)

What the?

I only see two mics there, and the second one looks far enough away that it could be for one of the other members.

Sean Carruthers (SeanC), Thursday, 10 April 2003 19:02 (twenty-two years ago)

Whoops!
Oh, also, I've dyed my hair the same colour as Teeny's...though it never stays that colour for long. No matter how hard I dye, it just never sticks.

Sean Carruthers (SeanC), Thursday, 10 April 2003 19:03 (twenty-two years ago)

Is that fuschia, teeny? I wasn't aware of the name of that color until I died it that way many years ago and every girl I knew told me it was fuschia. I don't think 'fuschia' is in the male vocabulary.

oops (Oops), Thursday, 10 April 2003 19:05 (twenty-two years ago)

(yeah, the other one is probably just a mic stand, literalism has ruined my comic effect, or attempts at comic effect, and it's usually me who goes all literalist. Oh yeah, cool Mary noticed my scruffy academic on his day off look, you can get away with that look in libraries)

jel -- (jel), Thursday, 10 April 2003 19:06 (twenty-two years ago)

WE ARE THE CUTEST PEOPLE IN THE WORLD.

Ally (mlescaut), Thursday, 10 April 2003 19:06 (twenty-two years ago)

Hmm, I honestly only have one picture of myself that has been scanned in at the moment. It's huge so I'm gonna try to reduce it w/ width/height. Let's see if this comes out

http://users.rcn.com/rschrade/uncle%20shanky.JPG

Mr. Diamond (diamond), Thursday, 10 April 2003 19:09 (twenty-two years ago)

It worked! That's me w/ my best friend's eight month old.

Mr. Diamond (diamond), Thursday, 10 April 2003 19:10 (twenty-two years ago)

She's pretty big and hairy for an 8 mo old. And what are you doing in a dress?

oops (Oops), Thursday, 10 April 2003 19:12 (twenty-two years ago)

Ally (mlescaut), Thursday, 10 April 2003 19:14 (twenty-two years ago)

Thanks, you're beautiful. Don't forget to tip your waitress.

oops (Oops), Thursday, 10 April 2003 19:16 (twenty-two years ago)

Does no one notice that my entire family wears sky blue leisure suits as "appropriate wedding attire"?

Ally (mlescaut), Thursday, 10 April 2003 19:17 (twenty-two years ago)

That's fine unless that pic was taken in 1992 or something.

oops (Oops), Thursday, 10 April 2003 19:18 (twenty-two years ago)

Well, sky blue does go well with GIANT, GIANT HAIR.

mark p (Mark P), Thursday, 10 April 2003 19:20 (twenty-two years ago)

It's actually from last weekend.

Ally (mlescaut), Thursday, 10 April 2003 19:27 (twenty-two years ago)

(actually, the reason why the picture is extra special hilarious is because my dad is a HARDCORE hunter and Republican and only listens to like Zepplin. WHAT THE HELL)

Ally (mlescaut), Thursday, 10 April 2003 19:27 (twenty-two years ago)

Dude, I think I was AT that party.

Chris V. (Chris V), Thursday, 10 April 2003 19:37 (twenty-two years ago)

Bryan (Bryan), Thursday, 10 April 2003 19:43 (twenty-two years ago)

Ally related to someone with white-guy afro SHOCKAH!!!

oops (Oops), Thursday, 10 April 2003 19:46 (twenty-two years ago)

I fail to see how that's a shockah, there's TWO in that picture with the white-guy afros. However, I don't know who the dude in the sunglasses is.

Ally (mlescaut), Thursday, 10 April 2003 19:46 (twenty-two years ago)

New pics of yours truly coming soon. Watch this space.

I can't believe you're making fun of Teeny's disability.

If she hadn't been so disable, I wouldn't have dissed her!

Teeny, I'm very sorry for making fun of your picture, it's a very nice picture, and you are a nice person and I sincerely hope you're not taking any of this personally.

Chris P (Chris P), Thursday, 10 April 2003 22:35 (twenty-two years ago)

I look like I enjoy nu-metal in that picture and not like my tweeist self.

Chris P (Chris P), Thursday, 10 April 2003 23:07 (twenty-two years ago)

I only have one picture of me online and yall have seen it. Ally has a few of me, but they're all bad.

Yanc3y (ystrickler), Thursday, 10 April 2003 23:08 (twenty-two years ago)

Teeny, I'm very sorry for making fun of your picture,

on the contrary; I feel like I've arrived...

teeny (teeny), Thursday, 10 April 2003 23:31 (twenty-two years ago)

And for trivia fans, that's Matt Maxwell in the middle of Chris Barrus's picture. Donut Bitch is out of shot and I was the one who took the photo -- this was in DB's and my old garage.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Thursday, 10 April 2003 23:32 (twenty-two years ago)

Teeny, you haven't truly arrived until you can post a pic of yourself with Jake Anderson.

Ned, where is yours?

Chris P (Chris P), Thursday, 10 April 2003 23:36 (twenty-two years ago)

I don't know if I have one! Usually I was the one taking pictures of Jake while he did his rock thing.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Thursday, 10 April 2003 23:39 (twenty-two years ago)

Ew, that's nasty.

Chris P (Chris P), Thursday, 10 April 2003 23:40 (twenty-two years ago)

PERVERT.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Thursday, 10 April 2003 23:41 (twenty-two years ago)

OK, I admit, sometimes Jake and I do our rock things... together.

Chris P (Chris P), Thursday, 10 April 2003 23:43 (twenty-two years ago)

And sometimes we let people take pictures of us!

Chris P (Chris P), Thursday, 10 April 2003 23:43 (twenty-two years ago)

electric sound of jim (electricsound), Friday, 11 April 2003 00:17 (twenty-two years ago)

Oh, yeah, DB. I almost forgot about those pix. Also this classic shot of me and Jake. It was our New Year's show. (Are there any photos of you and me, DB?)

Nicole: I am in Jake's, former housemate of Ned and DB, band these days, here in Portland. And we all stayed with Ned one night when we were on tour a few months ago; and yes, he proudly showed me his Raggettstacks.

I have never been photographed, and thus cannot contribute to this thread- only to say, of course, that there are some impossibly and unfairly good-looking people on ILX. As if taste and sense of humour wasn't enough...

I feel like a tramp staring through the window of an incredibly exclusive restaurant at the moneyed and attractive folks within. Spare a dime?

Searching the InterWeb I came across this weird image... I have no recollection of what's happening here, since I've never played the guitar. Also, that image must have been photoshopped, I've never had a hair like that. Anyway, this picture must be years old, I'm twenty kilos thinner nowadays.

http://bitchcakes.topcities.com/images/e&y.jpg

In the foreground you find Tracer Hand and Yancey. In the background, David R. and Michaelangelo Matos. As Tracer previously stated, Matos is demonstrating to David just how far back the front two would have to throw back their shoulders to avoid hunchback.

I should find pictures of my softball team. Our pitcher SMOKED WHILE PITCHING, now that's hardcore non-athleticism.

felicity (felicity), Friday, 11 April 2003 22:30 (twenty-two years ago)

(how come nobody ever answers the thread question?)

White male. I am six foot even. I weigh 150something on good days (32 waist, 32 inseam. I wear a 40/42 coat & 16" collar) I have a big head and neck. I have dark blond hair, fine, which sticks up until a certain length is reached at which point I can't decide what to do with it. My haircut is within USAF standards at the moment (no longer than 1/4" near the ears, tapered, no more than about 1.25 inches in 'bulk' (eg tallness). Actually it might be a bit taller than that, because it likes to get bristly later in the evening. My eyes are green with brown flecks (I have one really big brown spot that looks like a stripe). I work out irregularly because my muscle mass seems determined to remain the same no matter what I eat or do. My fingers often smell like a fine blend of turkish and domestic tobaccos. Sometimes I wear squarish silver glasses that I got on the taxpayer dollar. The rest of the time I wear contacts that I have to pay for myself because it impresses the ladies or something. I have broken my nose on three separate occasions (see 'lame ways of making yrself lame') and am approaching Depardieu-levels of proboscis majesty as a result (not that bad actually). I have a big mouth and a fairly strong jaw. When I skip shaving, the hair on my neck grows 2x as fast as the hair anywhere else, and my sideburns grow .5 as fast. I have ugly feet. My veins are huge. My teeth are clean, with a few fillings (about to get another one).

My female relatives think I am handsome.

Millar (Millar), Friday, 11 April 2003 22:45 (twenty-two years ago)

Sean Carruthers - you look uncannily similar to someone who's dead cute, what do you have to say for yourself?

Ally (mlescaut), Saturday, 12 April 2003 01:54 (twenty-two years ago)

Erik looks so cool

A Nairn (moretap), Saturday, 12 April 2003 01:59 (twenty-two years ago)

Sean, yeah, my sister's in Toronto and so am i. you know you have a long lost twin in this city?

Ally, my sister used to have big HUGE crush on said Sean-lookalike.

sand.y, Saturday, 12 April 2003 02:07 (twenty-two years ago)

Maybe you just all know each other and don't know it, I mean I was under the impression all people from Canada knew each other < /stereotypical Americanism>.

Anyway Sean wouldn't believe me on the other thread that I thought he was hot, I pity the fool who disbelieves me.

Ally (mlescaut), Saturday, 12 April 2003 02:26 (twenty-two years ago)

Ally, if i ever meet Sean walking through the small, quaint streets of toronto, i will personally smack some sense into him!

sand.y, Saturday, 12 April 2003 02:33 (twenty-two years ago)

I've smacked him lots of times and it's never done him any good.

Bryan (Bryan), Saturday, 12 April 2003 02:36 (twenty-two years ago)

Ya'all are lumberjacks too, right? Etc.

The funny things is that people do this to me all the time--"You live in on the Upper West Side? Do you know Thomas So-and-So?" Oh, no, I must've missed him amongst the other 8 million people.

Ally (mlescaut), Saturday, 12 April 2003 02:46 (twenty-two years ago)

There are what, 4+ million people in the metro Toronto area? Sean is easy to pick out because he's the one with the huge flock of screaming girls following him. IN HIS DREAMS. I'm no lumberjack. I'm just your average Canadian ASSHOLE.

Bryan (Bryan), Saturday, 12 April 2003 02:49 (twenty-two years ago)

Very sorry (I'm unfailingly polite, though).

Bryan (Bryan), Saturday, 12 April 2003 02:53 (twenty-two years ago)

Yeah, I know, that's why it's funny. There's like a billion people in Toronto, at least, or it seemed that way when I was 10. I remember when we moved out west, someone in my family asked my mom if there were stores out there! She was like, no, we have to hitch up our covered wagon and drive down to LA to by goods.

Ally (mlescaut), Saturday, 12 April 2003 03:03 (twenty-two years ago)

I think this is the closest I ever came to being a cute boy in my whole life, and I couldn't even open my eyes for the pic...:

http://www3.mb.sympatico.ca/~bryang/BRYAN2.jpg

Bryan (Bryan), Saturday, 12 April 2003 03:18 (twenty-two years ago)

You people are all freaks.

I was going to ask how you knew I WASN'T your sister's friend until I realized, duh, you probably knew their name. Oddly enough, even when I was living in a smaller town, 40,000 people, I kept getting mistaken for this other guy too. The funniest thing about that is I was actually friends with the guy, and I was mistaken for him on more than one occasion by members of his own family.

Sean Carruthers (SeanC), Saturday, 12 April 2003 03:18 (twenty-two years ago)

Cute knees, Pancho.

Sean Carruthers (SeanC), Saturday, 12 April 2003 03:19 (twenty-two years ago)

Who was that?

Bryan (Bryan), Saturday, 12 April 2003 03:22 (twenty-two years ago)

Yeah, at least my knees were cute!

That picture? It was you, wasn't it?

Sean Carruthers (SeanC), Saturday, 12 April 2003 03:24 (twenty-two years ago)

Sean, does it worry you that, at birth, you were obviously the subject of a cloning experiment?

Ally (mlescaut), Saturday, 12 April 2003 03:26 (twenty-two years ago)

ps Di, you have a really great smile!

Ally (mlescaut), Saturday, 12 April 2003 04:01 (twenty-two years ago)

haha I like how Bryan keeps apologizing unnecessarily all over the place.

Ally (mlescaut), Saturday, 12 April 2003 04:02 (twenty-two years ago)

Sorry.

Bryan (Bryan), Saturday, 12 April 2003 04:03 (twenty-two years ago)

aww fanks, y'all. actually there is another pic of me online, but its very small and its not flattering.

http://www.critic.co.nz/modules/Magnish/thumb.php?impass=1.jpg&Gal_id=2002 Woman Week band night&b=0&sz=100

di smith (lucylurex), Saturday, 12 April 2003 04:07 (twenty-two years ago)

does anyone know how to make it bigger, so that you can all tell how hideous i look when i'm singing?

di smith (lucylurex), Saturday, 12 April 2003 04:09 (twenty-two years ago)

Well, if you use IE there's a zoom feature, but it just makes you blurry. The original picture will decide if it can be blown up. If that's the original, probably not much you can do, which is too bad.

Bryan (Bryan), Saturday, 12 April 2003 04:12 (twenty-two years ago)

You could put LENGTH and WIDTH tags within the < IMG > tag but if the picture isn't big to begin with it'll just make it look bitty and weird, so I don't know if you wanna do that.

Ally (mlescaut), Saturday, 12 April 2003 04:12 (twenty-two years ago)

At the risk of sounding creepy, you're a very sweet girl, Ally. Just thought you should know. And I'm not drunk right now.

Bryan (Bryan), Saturday, 12 April 2003 04:14 (twenty-two years ago)

no, the original is bigger. HTML gives me the fear.

di smith (lucylurex), Saturday, 12 April 2003 04:15 (twenty-two years ago)

Just set the pic at about 300 X 400 and upload it and repost. SB a nice size then. Maybe make it a .jpg if you have the power.

Bryan (Bryan), Saturday, 12 April 2003 04:18 (twenty-two years ago)

Are you sure you aren't drunk? You're the first person on ILx to ever say that to me.

Ally (mlescaut), Saturday, 12 April 2003 04:28 (twenty-two years ago)

meh. i give up. if anyone wants to see it, you can go here and click on the link to "2002 Woman Week Band Night" and then click on the first image on the page.

di smith (lucylurex), Saturday, 12 April 2003 04:28 (twenty-two years ago)

Haha, the women of ILE are all gorgeous, haven't you read the NYC FAP threads? ;-) Aw, but thank you.

lyra (lyra), Saturday, 12 April 2003 04:29 (twenty-two years ago)

That's crazy, Ally.

Bryan (Bryan), Saturday, 12 April 2003 04:29 (twenty-two years ago)

I try to avoid going to look up old pics lest they inflame latent stalker tendencies in me, lyra.

Bryan (Bryan), Saturday, 12 April 2003 04:33 (twenty-two years ago)

I can't even send gifts for no reason to ILxors without getting email stating that I am a bitch--fact! It happened last week!

Ally (mlescaut), Saturday, 12 April 2003 04:35 (twenty-two years ago)

You're sending gifts to the wrong people, then.

Bryan (Bryan), Saturday, 12 April 2003 04:36 (twenty-two years ago)

Ally is a most splendiferous girl. (And she's nice too)

Justyn Dillingham (Justyn Dillingham), Saturday, 12 April 2003 04:42 (twenty-two years ago)

OK I'll send you guys gifts instead! The gift was a copy of The Little Prince, so it's actually kind of funny.

Alex in NYC (vassifer), Saturday, 12 April 2003 04:47 (twenty-two years ago)

Goddamnit, I want a posse. And not some cartoon Batman villainess posse, either, you hear me?

Bryan: I don't want to say but it was very odd! Maybe he really hates French people. Or little boys who talk to roses.

Ally (mlescaut), Saturday, 12 April 2003 04:50 (twenty-two years ago)

Or he has no shame or sense of gratitude. I'll shut up about it now.

Bryan (Bryan), Saturday, 12 April 2003 04:52 (twenty-two years ago)

I'll change the subject. To steal a catch phrase from Michael Daddino, cultural artifact of the moment: THIS WEBSITE CONTAINS PICTURES FROM THE FIRST "LARGE" ILXNYC MEET UP.

Bryan (Bryan), Saturday, 12 April 2003 05:17 (twenty-two years ago)

How can you not lighten up, looking at Tracer Hand's bizarrely green shirt? Or me with short blonde hair? Look at our swank bar, oh how times have changed! There's Ian, Dave, my ex-roommate, Paul! AND THAT SHIRT!

Ally (mlescaut), Saturday, 12 April 2003 05:26 (twenty-two years ago)

Paul seems to be glowing! That shirt is rather unfortunate.

Ally (mlescaut), Saturday, 12 April 2003 05:42 (twenty-two years ago)

Momus, do you actually have something wrong w/your eye or are you pulling a Kramer?

My right eye is so fucked that they're making a BBC 1 documentary about it. You think I'm kidding, but just wait until September and you'll see.

Momus (Momus), Saturday, 12 April 2003 05:57 (twenty-two years ago)

Ned Raggett (Ned), Saturday, 12 April 2003 15:50 (twenty-two years ago)

Until a few months ago I was occasionally tempted to imagine that the apparent extraordinary loveliness of the average ILXer was probably something to to with all the hottest posters (plus me, haha) putting up their pics while the less attractive maybe were less likely to. But I'm pretty sure that I hadn't seen pics of Mary & Felicity at that point - and even now, Felicity has her own reasons for not putting up her photo. Anyway, that rather blew that theory away. As do some of the London people, to be honest.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Saturday, 12 April 2003 22:04 (twenty-two years ago)

Well, IIRC, Weekend ends in the countryside with the lead female character eating her husband. So I don't think so.

I'm glad dyson sorted out that "is me" "sme" mix up - I'd never make such rude gestures!
di you are k-cute and not at all what I'd imagined (not that I'd imagined you as uncute or anyfink)

Here's me being all smiley (again)

Yay for the di with guitar pix! I really enjoyed your song on the ILX comp, di! :)

ILXors are shockingly gorgeous. We should form a modeling company.

Sarah McLUsky (coco), Monday, 14 April 2003 11:56 (twenty-two years ago)

Me, on the left, rocking the sexy librarian look. (Someday I will find a photo of me that doesn't have a microphone growing from my mouth)

(Yes, that *is* an *original* Flock of Nedgulls, I mean Seagulls shirt!)

I really wish that we could download and post the photos that D@ra took on the bus home from our birthday party, they were hillarious!

kate, Monday, 14 April 2003 12:04 (twenty-two years ago)

Kate, did your guitar come that way or did you do that? Nice pic!

kate, will you "offer me asylum?" *rowr!*

hstencil, Monday, 14 April 2003 12:23 (twenty-two years ago)

I did it myself with holographic glitter and paint! Here's a better photo (of my guitar - I've finally *not* got a microphone growing out of my face, but I'm shoegazing):

http://www.underexposed.org.uk/lollies/lol2.jpg

And hey, pleeeeeaaaaaase does someone have any back issues of The Wire that they could scan for me? The only pictures of Handsome SoundArtist that I can find on the web are all blurry and arty. (Kinda like him, come to think of it...)

Somewhere in this photo, you can sort of locate my sweetie, in among all the soundartistry equipment...

http://www.klanggalerie.com/says/gallery/pics/1999/images/disinformation.jpg

P.S. Hstencil, I'd offer you assylum ANYTIME... (sheesh I hope HSA never sees this post!)

kate, Monday, 14 April 2003 12:26 (twenty-two years ago)

I might have some back issues of The Wire with HSA in them. I don't know his name, though.

hstencil, Monday, 14 April 2003 12:34 (twenty-two years ago)

That's the Pinefox??!

Ally (mlescaut), Monday, 14 April 2003 12:36 (twenty-two years ago)

March 97 is the one that I'm looking for. I checked their website, it's out of print. :-( There's a big, full page colour photo of him looking luscious and pouting with a big pile of oscillators and things.

kate, Monday, 14 April 2003 12:36 (twenty-two years ago)

Ally, what were you expecting?

Nicole (Nicole), Monday, 14 April 2003 12:37 (twenty-two years ago)

I don't know, not that. I could quite fancy him, I didn't know that!

Ally (mlescaut), Monday, 14 April 2003 12:38 (twenty-two years ago)

It's the purple jumper that does it, isn't it?

Jerry the Nipper (Jerrynipper), Monday, 14 April 2003 12:40 (twenty-two years ago)

kate, I might have March 97! Let me take a look when I get home tonight. Do you know who's on the cover? That would help cuz I just moved and nothing's in order.

hstencil, Monday, 14 April 2003 12:41 (twenty-two years ago)

Where is that school that JtN and the Pinefox are standing in front of? It looks really familiar. I mean, I know all those red and yellow-brick schools look the same but it's bugging me.

Matt DC (Matt DC), Monday, 14 April 2003 12:43 (twenty-two years ago)

Somewhere in Greenwich, I think.

Jerry the Nipper (Jerrynipper), Monday, 14 April 2003 12:44 (twenty-two years ago)

Yeah, I like that jumper quite a bit, I'd wear it myself if I wore sensible clothing.

Ally (mlescaut), Monday, 14 April 2003 12:44 (twenty-two years ago)

hstencil, Panasonic are on the cover:

http://www.thewire.co.uk/shop/back/images/157.jpg

If you could look, I'd be eternally grateful!

kate, Monday, 14 April 2003 12:45 (twenty-two years ago)

I'll look. Not sure off the bat if I have that one.

hstencil, Monday, 14 April 2003 12:46 (twenty-two years ago)

I have a very non-rock photo on the real estate agents photo thread. I'm getting my film developed tonight so I can come post another much-needed girl and guitar photo.

Sarah McLusky (coco), Monday, 14 April 2003 12:47 (twenty-two years ago)

Kim - I think you should soon post a picture of yourself sending me the C90 compilation of Decorative Music that's like Bright moulded Plastic in your Space-Age Future Home....

dyson (dyson), Monday, 14 April 2003 13:54 (twenty-two years ago)

I hope you are performing your god-given duty and scaring schoolchildren throughout the world.

Yanc3y (ystrickler), Monday, 14 April 2003 15:30 (twenty-two years ago)

So what you're saying is that you need to be surrounded by weird animals at all times, then.

Ally (mlescaut), Monday, 14 April 2003 15:31 (twenty-two years ago)

Yanc3y, does reading JTT slash give you a particular pleasure or does it particularly wig you out or what?

Chris P (Chris P), Monday, 14 April 2003 15:36 (twenty-two years ago)

owls, deer, meese = weird animals?

hstencil, Monday, 14 April 2003 15:39 (twenty-two years ago)

animals are weird by nature, Yance. I'm going to call you that cos I'm too lazy to type a y, is that ok? Otherwise it's just going to have to be JTT from now on. I look like no one famous, I should cultivate a famous resemblance.

Ally (mlescaut), Monday, 14 April 2003 15:42 (twenty-two years ago)

Yance. I'm going to call you that cos I'm too lazy to type a y

Yance y

Jody Beth Rosen (Jody Beth Rosen), Monday, 14 April 2003 15:50 (twenty-two years ago)

Uh... it's not as if I have any JTT slash sites bookmarked on my computer. I stumbled across some a long time ago when I first found out about slash and wanted to see who or what had been done; I was able to stomach the Home Improvement slash but I drew the line when I reached the Ols*n twin slash.

But I'm sure a simple google will satisfy your every desire.

Chris P (Chris P), Monday, 14 April 2003 15:57 (twenty-two years ago)

Most of my friends call me Yance. Or Yanceypants. Or Pants.

Yanc3y (ystrickler), Monday, 14 April 2003 15:59 (twenty-two years ago)

Pants. That's a nickname I can accept.

Ally (mlescaut), Monday, 14 April 2003 16:53 (twenty-two years ago)

Weird. Some of the people at work call me Pants. Probably because of this:

Jody Beth Rosen (Jody Beth Rosen), Monday, 14 April 2003 18:10 (twenty-two years ago)

It's the purple jumper that does it, isn't it?

Yes, Ally, when I met the Pinefox I remarked to Mary that he looks EXACTLY like an American college football quarterback. It's a very specific "look."

For example, Ken Dorsey of the University of Miami Hurricanes:

http://www.philmucci.com/Port%20Images/dorsey.jpg

I'm not saying the pf "looks like" Ken Dorsey, I'm just saying he has that "look." See what I mean?

Yanc3y (ystrickler), Monday, 14 April 2003 18:32 (twenty-two years ago)

I was just shocked that was the Pinefox, that was all. I imagined him looking like Geir Hongro for some reason.

Ally (mlescaut), Monday, 14 April 2003 19:18 (twenty-two years ago)

It is fun to imagine the Pinefox playing American Football.

Sarah MCLusky (coco), Tuesday, 15 April 2003 19:52 (twenty-two years ago)

I thought you looked beautiful Sarah, but I'm sure I've already told you how lovely you look based on your previous photos, and also I figure that people must be getting sick of my adoring all you beautiful women. I'm getting old enough to qualify as a dirty old man (and feeling like one, when reading various gorgeous women two decades younger than me talk about their panties, like today!).

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Tuesday, 15 April 2003 20:05 (twenty-two years ago)

How do you think we felt reading about your "tattered kaftan," Martin?

ooo er (nabisco), Tuesday, 15 April 2003 20:19 (twenty-two years ago)

You know, it just sort of struck me that these what do you look like threads are soooo popular that maybe we should ask AlanT for a special feature for the board, for his first assignment. On the settings page there's already a spot for Photo URL, so maybe there could be, like a gallery page or something in the FAQ area, available only to users who have logged in. Maybe it could be coded so there were more than one photos there, if we preferred, and of course we could change them any time we wanted as we crimped our hair and shit, and wanted to update our photos to reflect our updated look!

Sean Carruthers (SeanC), Tuesday, 15 April 2003 20:30 (twenty-two years ago)

Ally (mlescaut), Tuesday, 15 April 2003 20:48 (twenty-two years ago)

How do you think we felt reading about your "tattered kaftan," Martin?

Faintly nauseous?

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Tuesday, 15 April 2003 21:10 (twenty-two years ago)

If it helps, that's all I'm wearing right now...

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Tuesday, 15 April 2003 21:10 (twenty-two years ago)

Why ixnay? It would be strictly voluntary; you wouldn't HAVE to put your picture in or anything.

Sean Carruthers (SeanC), Tuesday, 15 April 2003 21:21 (twenty-two years ago)

I think it's a wonderful idea, and I would rotate many embarassing pictures of myself but I do that all over the boards already.

Ally (mlescaut), Tuesday, 15 April 2003 21:23 (twenty-two years ago)

Sarah, I would have said something nice about your work picture but the link didn't work for me.

Nicole (Nicole), Wednesday, 16 April 2003 00:38 (twenty-two years ago)

I feel misrepresented by my presence in that pic Ally posted upthread, since A) I have long since ditched the Harry Potter eyewear for spectacles that don't make me look 12 years old (I now look 15) and B) my sideburn experiment has mercifully come to an end (prognosis: negative). If I'm gonna be on this thread, I'm gonna be on this thread right. Therefore:

http://www.popshots.org/cap_029.jpg

Not that I'm wearing my spiffy not-so-new glasses in this picture (obviously) - were I, you'd see what I was looking @ on screen, which is such a webcam thing to do (and so narcissistic, taking a pic of me looking at myself with my reflection in my glasses) (unlike this post, which is totally non-narcissistic).

David R. (popshots75`), Wednesday, 16 April 2003 04:50 (twenty-two years ago)

Sarah - your RE pic is luverly. I think ppl know you already have ppl to tell you that.

I think Yahoo tends to be obstreperous about this, Luna. What's your Yahoo id?

Chris V. (Chris V), Thursday, 17 April 2003 10:21 (twenty-two years ago)

Argh! I can see dirty counter kitchen mess even in that little tiny photo of our kitchen! AAAARRRRRRGGGGHHHHH!!!

kate, Thursday, 17 April 2003 10:34 (twenty-two years ago)

I was just thinking how tidy that kitchen looks compared to mine.

Matt DC (Matt DC), Thursday, 17 April 2003 10:37 (twenty-two years ago)

yeah, that kitchen is hella tidy!

gareth (gareth), Thursday, 17 April 2003 10:39 (twenty-two years ago)

School in PF & JtN picture is that one near Westcombe Park station, innit?

Dr. C (Dr. C), Thursday, 17 April 2003 10:42 (twenty-two years ago)

New pics of yours truly coming soon. Watch this space.

JBR - hmmmmmm? We wait with bated breath.

Nordicskillz (Nordicskillz), Thursday, 17 April 2003 10:46 (twenty-two years ago)

Dr C's SE-London-spotting is astounding! I had forgotten that was where it was (near Mike and Pam's old house).

(Doc - thanks for the cds! Haven't had a chance to listen to 'em closely yet, but will report back after the weekend!)

Jerry the Nipper (Jerrynipper), Thursday, 17 April 2003 11:02 (twenty-two years ago)

Luna=Jennifer Garner

Chris V. is OTM.

Nicole (Nicole), Thursday, 17 April 2003 11:07 (twenty-two years ago)

Jerry - a great friend of mine lives in Chievening Road, which is just next to the school. Do you know the 'horse house' nearby?

The Foxgloves picture is *astoundingly* indie!
Glad you got the CDs - watch out for Glenda Collins!

I feel vaguely uneasy about looking at all the wonderful people on this thread without posting a picture of myself. I've never bothered to figure out how to do the picture thing, although if anyone can be arsed to cut and paste a picture of me from the karaoke FAP thread you can all see what a pompous arsehole looks like. I must have a crack at that so that I can post ONSTAGE pix from the upcoming ANM gig. (Not that they'll be as fantastic as Kate's pix.)

Dr. C (Dr. C), Thursday, 17 April 2003 11:38 (twenty-two years ago)

"Jetty" ! Oh fucking hett!

Dr. C (Dr. C), Thursday, 17 April 2003 11:40 (twenty-two years ago)

Someone's going to have to explain "yer man O'Farrell" to me one of these days...

Andrew Farrell (afarrell), Thursday, 17 April 2003 11:46 (twenty-two years ago)

I am the floating glowing orb between Sarah and Pete.

Graham (graham), Thursday, 17 April 2003 11:49 (twenty-two years ago)

Not a giant, Nordicskillz - 6'4" ish. But next to Starry and Pete....

Between Starry and moi is of course Tom and Alang.

Dr. C (Dr. C), Thursday, 17 April 2003 11:51 (twenty-two years ago)

I remeber going on a massive tidying jag that morning for arrival of mary and lisa. Anything that is on the counter should be there, chopping boards, knife block, toaster kettle, sink, cutlery, utensils and a few other things.

Ed (dali), Thursday, 17 April 2003 12:01 (twenty-two years ago)

I am the floating glowing orb between Sarah and Pete.

luna (luna.c), Thursday, 17 April 2003 15:24 (twenty-two years ago)

Alias is cool, I meant that as a compliment!

Nicole (Nicole), Thursday, 17 April 2003 15:27 (twenty-two years ago)

Graham turned into Sarah's Navi!

(Luna, there are worse things in the world than people saying you look like Jennifer Garner.)

nabisco (nabisco), Thursday, 17 April 2003 15:31 (twenty-two years ago)

I know Nicole - ty! And I know there are worse things, but sometimes I just want to look like me, you know?

However, I shan't complain!

luna (luna.c), Thursday, 17 April 2003 15:33 (twenty-two years ago)

For instance, you could look like this:

nabisco (nabisco), Thursday, 17 April 2003 15:34 (twenty-two years ago)

haha! (i got my pic in the paper today. i don't want to scan it in because it isn't good. also, they misquoted me. i said "broad-reaching". they said i said "broad-rooting". broad-ROOTING? fuck.)

mitch Lastnamewithheld (mitchlnw), Thursday, 17 April 2003 15:45 (twenty-two years ago)

'Broad-rooting' sounds like a fraternity activity.

Bryan (Bryan), Thursday, 17 April 2003 15:48 (twenty-two years ago)

Bryan, you kind of resemble someone pseudo-famous there, but I think if I told you who, you'd stab me in the nuts were we to ever meet.

mark p (Mark P), Thursday, 17 April 2003 15:49 (twenty-two years ago)

Perhaps nabisco, but then I'd at least have cookies!

You don't look crazy Bryan - just.. focused

Bryan's pic made me think of this:

But everyone else will probably think I'm crazy for seeing a resemblence.

Chris P (Chris P), Thursday, 17 April 2003 16:06 (twenty-two years ago)

Yep Martin, and Spud Webb could dunk up a storm and was...5'7!

Chris V. (Chris V), Thursday, 17 April 2003 16:33 (twenty-two years ago)

God, Canada gets cooler every fucking day.

Ally (mlescaut), Thursday, 17 April 2003 16:34 (twenty-two years ago)

"Just George" has a certain ring to it.

mark p (Mark P), Thursday, 17 April 2003 16:39 (twenty-two years ago)

I get compared to Karen all the time, because I dress like her, or maybe it's the drinking and the way I sound but no one wants to admit to insulting me. Anyway, we should totally hang out, we just need to find a Will & Grace.

Ally (mlescaut), Thursday, 17 April 2003 16:42 (twenty-two years ago)

Will you buy me things?

Bryan (Bryan), Thursday, 17 April 2003 16:44 (twenty-two years ago)

Yeah, definitely, I'm like made of cash.

Ally (mlescaut), Thursday, 17 April 2003 16:46 (twenty-two years ago)

Well, will you rub your bosoms in my face then? **waits calmly for inevitable backlash**

Bryan (Bryan), Thursday, 17 April 2003 16:50 (twenty-two years ago)

http://eem.imagenet2000.com/wng_list/faq/graphics/4some_motorcycle2.gif

Promise me we'll do this when I'm in Toronto and I swear I'll buy you anything you want. And I rub my bosoms on anyone, jeez, come on.

Ally (mlescaut), Thursday, 17 April 2003 16:51 (twenty-two years ago)

I'll try and be in Toronto when you visit there for sure, then.

Bryan (Bryan), Thursday, 17 April 2003 16:53 (twenty-two years ago)

I promise I'll nasal-down my voice so I don't sound exactly like her.

Ally (mlescaut), Thursday, 17 April 2003 16:57 (twenty-two years ago)

Please don't!

Bryan (Bryan), Thursday, 17 April 2003 17:00 (twenty-two years ago)

Yeah, I find it impossible actually. Why anyone in the world would allow me to answer their phones as part of my job description is beyond me.

Ally (mlescaut), Thursday, 17 April 2003 17:03 (twenty-two years ago)

I've always wanted to be just like Will.

nabisco (nabisco), Thursday, 17 April 2003 17:18 (twenty-two years ago)

Except that I would make the sex with Grace more often.

nabisco (nabisco), Thursday, 17 April 2003 17:19 (twenty-two years ago)

Ok, so me, Bryan and Nabisco are all in, who is going to be Grace?

Ally (mlescaut), Thursday, 17 April 2003 17:20 (twenty-two years ago)

I'll do it - I totally have the hair

luna (luna.c), Thursday, 17 April 2003 19:54 (twenty-two years ago)

I volunteer! (Consumer Warning: I may not be perfectly suited to the role.) (Damn, Luna beat me on a crossposting! She may be slightly more apt.)

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Thursday, 17 April 2003 19:55 (twenty-two years ago)

Dude, seriously, do you guys see that bike? It's aces, we can all fit on it.

Ally (mlescaut), Thursday, 17 April 2003 20:00 (twenty-two years ago)

New pics of yours truly coming soon. Watch this space.
JBR - hmmmmmm? We wait with bated breath.

gotta finish out the roll, then gotta get it developed, then gotta scratch my head wondering why people are so anxious to see pictures of me

Jody Beth Rosen (Jody Beth Rosen), Thursday, 17 April 2003 20:01 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm a few inches taller than Sean Hayes as well, so it will be even funnier to see my feet dangling and possibly getting caught in the wheel of the sidecar.

Bryan (Bryan), Thursday, 17 April 2003 20:08 (twenty-two years ago)

Hahaha Luna either didn't read or chose to ignore the follow-up to my "I'll be Will" post.

nabisco (nabisco), Thursday, 17 April 2003 20:14 (twenty-two years ago)

Well it's yours if you really want it, Martin

(though you may want to talk to nabisco first?)

luna (luna.c), Thursday, 17 April 2003 20:18 (twenty-two years ago)

[hilarious joke excised]

Q: How much Will & Grace slash fiction do you think is out there?

nabisco (nabisco), Thursday, 17 April 2003 20:27 (twenty-two years ago)

I think you look more like Grace than I do, Luna. In fact, everyone does.

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Thursday, 17 April 2003 20:39 (twenty-two years ago)

Except maybe 50 Cent?

nabisco (nabisco), Thursday, 17 April 2003 20:47 (twenty-two years ago)

Actually I take that back, he's got the cheekbones.

nabisco (nabisco), Thursday, 17 April 2003 20:48 (twenty-two years ago)

Another entirely gratuitous softball shot....this one taken this past Tuesday. Note stylish camo shorts to confuse our opponents.

Alex in NYC (vassifer), Thursday, 17 April 2003 21:22 (twenty-two years ago)

Are you like angling to become ILX's Derek Jeter?

I am banned from corporate softball, so I have no softball pictures this year. They're total cockfarmers, you throw a fucking bat at an umpire only twice and they're so goddamned sensitive about it.

Ally (mlescaut), Thursday, 17 April 2003 21:30 (twenty-two years ago)

did you at least hit him?

luna (luna.c), Thursday, 17 April 2003 21:33 (twenty-two years ago)

Yeah, in the shin. It really seriously wasn't a strike, I don't know why he would say that the ball was anywhere near the plate.

Ally (mlescaut), Thursday, 17 April 2003 21:41 (twenty-two years ago)

he must have a crush on you.

RJG (RJG), Thursday, 17 April 2003 21:43 (twenty-two years ago)

I would so Photoshop Alex into an Echo and the Bunnymen 1981 camo gear tour concert photo if I could find one...

Ned Raggett (Ned), Thursday, 17 April 2003 22:27 (twenty-two years ago)

Ally (mlescaut), Friday, 18 April 2003 00:31 (twenty-two years ago)

Nitsuh, I don't think mentioning me in relation to Sarah that way is something she would apprieciate. Even pretending I was near her in a photograph was a gamble.

Sean Carruthers (SeanC), Monday, 21 April 2003 17:54 (twenty-two years ago)

Haha, Sean is rocking the Suge Knight expression out in the woods! Maybe he feared bears.

Nicole (Nicole), Monday, 21 April 2003 17:57 (twenty-two years ago)

It's stupid, every time I try to take a picture of myself with the camera-at-arm's-length method, I get that same dopey expression. Sometimes worse than others.

(ps. Sarah roxx)

Sean Carruthers (SeanC), Monday, 21 April 2003 17:59 (twenty-two years ago)

It's not dopey, it looks like you are a gangsta who is going to have to take someone out very soon.

Nicole (Nicole), Monday, 21 April 2003 18:07 (twenty-two years ago)

Sean, every time I do that, I get a deranged Joker expression on my face (ex. that pic of me and BNW upthread). At least you look cute with a dopey expression. I look fucking bitchcakes. Grinning at arm's length = always a bad idea.

Ally (mlescaut), Monday, 21 April 2003 18:08 (twenty-two years ago)

I didn't know Sean was in "the Blair Witch Project"!

Alex in NYC (vassifer), Monday, 21 April 2003 18:12 (twenty-two years ago)

Sarah, your links don't seem to be working for me. : (

Sean, why are you and your friend wearing the same outfit? Did you win them in a radio call-in contest?

Chris P (Chris P), Monday, 21 April 2003 18:13 (twenty-two years ago)

Sorry, CP. I always have problems posting. I'll try one of them again later another way.

Sarah McLusky (coco), Monday, 21 April 2003 18:16 (twenty-two years ago)

They're not actually the same, though it looks like it from that pic; mine's actually a vest with a t-shirt underneath. But your version is much cooler so I'll go with the radio contest.

Sean Carruthers (SeanC), Monday, 21 April 2003 18:17 (twenty-two years ago)

Ally (mlescaut), Monday, 21 April 2003 19:06 (twenty-two years ago)

If you're wondering what that scraping sound is, it's the sound of ILX spiralling in on itself.

Sean Carruthers (SeanC), Monday, 21 April 2003 19:07 (twenty-two years ago)

The only problem Chris is there's no Ned-head in there.

Sean Carruthers (SeanC), Monday, 21 April 2003 19:08 (twenty-two years ago)

Quick, someone add Ned in the Dangermouse car driving by...

I'd do it but I have to go to lunch. I expect to see it by the time I get back!

Chris P (Chris P), Monday, 21 April 2003 19:09 (twenty-two years ago)

OK, maybe that was too predictable.

I couldn't get at Sarah's pics, even following the instructions, something about bandwidth used up. If they are saucy, I shall keep trying of course.

Nick A. (Nick A.), Tuesday, 22 April 2003 14:18 (twenty-two years ago)

Can I just say that Carey's "bitch" is totally Johnny Knoxville style HOTT? Cuz he IS.

nickalicious (nickalicious), Tuesday, 22 April 2003 14:24 (twenty-two years ago)

he is cute but I didn't want her to think I was trying to steal her bitch.

Ally (mlescaut), Tuesday, 22 April 2003 14:25 (twenty-two years ago)

Sean's bitch is kinda foine too, provided you're into furry chicks.

mark p (Mark P), Tuesday, 22 April 2003 14:28 (twenty-two years ago)

I thought the bitches in the Woody Allen picture were TATU. I am strangely disapointed.

When I was stalking my bitch (his name is Franz, last name also German, though oddly he is not German at all) while he was my TA when I was a freshman in college he had these big black dreads and he made his clothes (he was a techno hippie) and I would also get my roommates to stalk him and they nicknamed him Aeon Flux.

And now I just make him cry for sport.

Sean's chick is Grrrrrrr!

Carey (Carey), Tuesday, 22 April 2003 16:50 (twenty-two years ago)

Those pics of Sarah McL were indeed worth the extra effort - you look fantastic!

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Tuesday, 22 April 2003 17:11 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm not smiling in either of those photos!

Jody Beth Rosen (Jody Beth Rosen), Wednesday, 23 April 2003 18:36 (twenty-two years ago)

The other shot of Jody we've seen has her left shoulder and kind of the back of her head cropped off. Is there something we should know?

Graham (graham), Wednesday, 23 April 2003 18:54 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm not smiling in either of those photos!

Well then yr non-smiling face conveys an air of satisfaction and enjoyment of life moreso than anyone else's. If that's not smiling, I can't wait to see you smile!

nickalicious (nickalicious), Wednesday, 23 April 2003 18:56 (twenty-two years ago)

JBR, is that last photo taken in a washroom?

Sean Carruthers (SeanC), Wednesday, 23 April 2003 19:01 (twenty-two years ago)

Ally (mlescaut), Wednesday, 23 April 2003 19:11 (twenty-two years ago)

no... except for that large unsightly Elephant Man-like protrusion...

JBR, is that last photo taken in a washroom?

yes. yes it is. thanks for noticing.

anything else you'd like to pick on me about?

Jody Beth Rosen (Jody Beth Rosen), Wednesday, 23 April 2003 19:39 (twenty-two years ago)

I have a picture of both of our foreheads for some reason, JBR, it's great, I should post it.

Ally (mlescaut), Wednesday, 23 April 2003 19:41 (twenty-two years ago)

No you shouldn't.

Jody Beth Rosen (Jody Beth Rosen), Wednesday, 23 April 2003 19:42 (twenty-two years ago)

Heh. I wasn't picking on you, just wondering. There were some others upthread too. Would it help if I said "that excellent last photo" instead?

Sean Carruthers (SeanC), Wednesday, 23 April 2003 19:43 (twenty-two years ago)

Why not? I have a huge zit on my forehead in the pic!

Ally (mlescaut), Wednesday, 23 April 2003 19:47 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm sure your zit is lovely.

Jody Beth Rosen (Jody Beth Rosen), Wednesday, 23 April 2003 19:51 (twenty-two years ago)

I have one on my chin today. It's enormous! You ever seen that movie, with Richard E. Grant, where his zit on his shoulder gets really huge and turns into another head with an evil personality? What's what I got on my chin.

Ally (mlescaut), Wednesday, 23 April 2003 19:56 (twenty-two years ago)

I think that's what everyone thought was on the JBR's left shoulder.

That slight insult out of the way, can I join in the chorus of JBR=foine?

Andrew Farrell (afarrell), Wednesday, 23 April 2003 20:12 (twenty-two years ago)

those pictures are sweet, jody beth.

they look like 'before' and 'after' shots.

RJG (RJG), Wednesday, 23 April 2003 20:15 (twenty-two years ago)

Ally (mlescaut), Wednesday, 23 April 2003 21:23 (twenty-two years ago)

RJG (RJG), Wednesday, 23 April 2003 21:24 (twenty-two years ago)

Ned Raggett (Ned), Thursday, 24 April 2003 20:40 (twenty-two years ago)

Thanks for the new-look-compliments!

toraneko (toraneko), Thursday, 24 April 2003 20:42 (twenty-two years ago)

Sean, please immediately go into the High Concept Sci-Fi thread and explain to us about time travel, because we're having a hard time understanding the time/space continuum issues presented in Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure.

Ally (mlescaut), Thursday, 24 April 2003 20:44 (twenty-two years ago)

Toraneko, you look incredible!

Arthur (Arthur), Thursday, 24 April 2003 20:47 (twenty-two years ago)

L.A. contingent is in full agreement on Toraneko. Stunning as per usual.

Spencer Chow (spencermfi), Thursday, 24 April 2003 21:10 (twenty-two years ago)

Toraneko is a pretty, pretty girl.

I just noticed that Stylus appropriated this image of me for their archive pages:

http://www.stylusmagazine.com/staff/photos/kenan_herbert.jpg

I like it. Make me look all mean an' shit. Which I'm not, really -- I'm more "doughy." But I want people to THINK I'm mean.

Kenan Hebert (kenan), Thursday, 24 April 2003 21:24 (twenty-two years ago)

Spencer Chow (spencermfi), Thursday, 24 April 2003 21:41 (twenty-two years ago)

Hahaha Toraneko in making ILX men wish we were female non-shocker.

nabisco (nabisco), Thursday, 24 April 2003 21:43 (twenty-two years ago)

Whatever nabisco. Always a shocker. I know Toraneko isn't about to give a shit what I have to say but that hair is schweeee.

Millar (Millar), Thursday, 24 April 2003 22:05 (twenty-two years ago)

That's you on the right, yes, Spencer?

Ned Raggett (Ned), Thursday, 24 April 2003 22:09 (twenty-two years ago)

making ILX men wish we were female

Farthest thing from my mind.

Kenan Hebert (kenan), Thursday, 24 April 2003 22:12 (twenty-two years ago)

I wish I were a bear.

Spencer Chow (spencermfi), Thursday, 24 April 2003 22:19 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm just going to buy a case of Big Bear CDs and give them out as presents. Who wouldn't love one?

Spencer Chow (spencermfi), Thursday, 24 April 2003 22:21 (twenty-two years ago)

Jeez, guys, it was a joke (and an only semi-dodgy compliment to Toraneko).

nabisco (nabisco), Thursday, 24 April 2003 22:21 (twenty-two years ago)

Cause, see, she's ... oh, nevermind. (Anyway you look lovely, T.)

nabisco (nabisco), Thursday, 24 April 2003 22:22 (twenty-two years ago)

Only semi-dodgy? HAVE I TAUGHT YOU NOTHING???

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Thursday, 24 April 2003 22:22 (twenty-two years ago)

In retrospect it wasn't even dodgy. Maybe a bit forward, but in a non-dodgy way.

nabisco (nabisco), Thursday, 24 April 2003 22:27 (twenty-two years ago)

That's you on the right, yes, Spencer?

Duh Ned, I'm on the left. I guess all bears look the same to you, huh?! Speciesist!

Spencer Chow (spencermfi), Thursday, 24 April 2003 22:29 (twenty-two years ago)

nabisco in failing to be truly dodgy non-shocker

also, that pic with toraneko facing off to toraneko would make a great poster for a really hot sci-fi flick. What would it be called?

Millar (Millar), Thursday, 24 April 2003 22:30 (twenty-two years ago)

What, "Toraneko" isn't a good enough sci-fi flick name for you?

Chris P (Chris P), Thursday, 24 April 2003 22:32 (twenty-two years ago)

She is unbearably cute [sic]

buttch (Oops), Thursday, 24 April 2003 23:30 (twenty-two years ago)

There is no bear in that picture, correct. I could change that.

Sean Carruthers (SeanC), Friday, 25 April 2003 13:01 (twenty-two years ago)

Yes, I demand bears in all pictures! Get to work, Sean!

Sarah McLUsky (coco), Friday, 25 April 2003 13:06 (twenty-two years ago)

There's already a bear in mine. (Do you SEE?!)

Colin Meeder (Mert), Friday, 25 April 2003 13:58 (twenty-two years ago)

BEARS = COMEDY GOLD

Sean Carruthers (SeanC), Friday, 25 April 2003 23:07 (twenty-two years ago)

Heh, I found two photos. One is of my tattoo. The other is of my eyes (JUST MY EYES). That would be spectacularly non-useful (but I love my tat, so I may post them anyway).

Tep (ktepi), Friday, 25 April 2003 23:20 (twenty-two years ago)

Well?

luna (luna.c), Friday, 25 April 2003 23:27 (twenty-two years ago)

I found these while looking through files/trying to figure out why my webcomics are dead (I was going to link to them for "stuff I'm -not- good at but do anyway"). Not certain what size they are, but hopefully they aren't huge.

Let's see if I remember how to do this.

http://www.idea-inc.com/~bill/tat.jpg
http://www.idea-inc.com/~bill/eyes.jpg

Tep (ktepi), Friday, 25 April 2003 23:32 (twenty-two years ago)

The eyes one is very faded - the film was old when I developed it. My eyes are darker than that (but look, you can see the orange spot in one of them).

Tep (ktepi), Friday, 25 April 2003 23:34 (twenty-two years ago)

it works for me

luna (luna.c), Friday, 25 April 2003 23:48 (twenty-two years ago)

It's all to scale, btw. My arm is eleven times the size of my head. I have to get a separate seat for it on the airplane.

Tep (ktepi), Friday, 25 April 2003 23:56 (twenty-two years ago)

Tep has an Exclaim! tattoo!

slutsky (slutsky), Saturday, 26 April 2003 04:51 (twenty-two years ago)

That's hardcore.

slutsky (slutsky), Saturday, 26 April 2003 04:52 (twenty-two years ago)

My thesis at Hampshire was on comic books ("Men in Capes and the Little Boys Who Love Them: Exploring The American Superhero Monomyth") -- after I dropped out, moved, and dropped in elsewhere, I decided to celebrate that with a tattoo (Dr Blasphemy's chest symbol from Rick Veith's Brat Pack, which would've been one of my main sources).

Tep (ktepi), Saturday, 26 April 2003 04:53 (twenty-two years ago)

... so, slightly less hardcore

Tep (ktepi), Saturday, 26 April 2003 04:54 (twenty-two years ago)

(But I ended up in religious studies, and it's a Dr Blasphemy tattoo, so obviously inking yourself has magical change-the-future properties. That's why the one on my other arm is the Chinese symbol for "no-strings-attached blowjobs")

Tep (ktepi), Saturday, 26 April 2003 04:55 (twenty-two years ago)

I like to think of it as the tattoo version of "fuck!" - therefore, classic

luna (luna.c), Saturday, 26 April 2003 04:57 (twenty-two years ago)

It's all purpose, but so's "fuck," really. So there you go. Boy was my mother proud!

Tep (ktepi), Saturday, 26 April 2003 04:59 (twenty-two years ago)

Yeah, my mom likes all mine, too....

luna (luna.c), Saturday, 26 April 2003 05:01 (twenty-two years ago)

I think my mother actually accepts the tattoo, now that my hair is .. hair-colored, and "a decent length, for heaven's sake," and so on and so forth. And it's not on my face: that's always a plus.

(The last time I got The Mom Look was when I was telling my brother about my plan to have the bar code from my first published novel tattooed on my hand, so cashiers can ring me up.)

Tep (ktepi), Saturday, 26 April 2003 05:05 (twenty-two years ago)

Do many people do theses on comics in the US, Tep? I always thought that if I could be bothered with another degree, something where I could write a thesis on Krazy Kat or Segar's Popeye might be the thing for me.

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Saturday, 26 April 2003 10:27 (twenty-two years ago)

Not too many, but it's increasingly common, probably in part because of Understanding Comics. It's certainly something that's gained academic acceptance -- there's some great stuff out there (somewhere around here I have an article from the Journal of Popular Culture on how whether or not the Batmobile has tailfins, and how large they are, reflects changing cultural attitudes about something or other. Tailfins, maybe.)

Somewhere around online, I think, I have my "Different Bat Time - Same Bat Channel!: Hypernostalgia in the Batman Mythos" paper, which despite never being published was cited by this guy in this book. I was happy about that. And I still love that title.

Tep (ktepi), Saturday, 26 April 2003 17:55 (twenty-two years ago)

I love paper titles. It's the only reason I bothered writing any, so I could come up with a "super-clever reference: what this paper is actually about" title.

teeny (teeny), Saturday, 26 April 2003 18:02 (twenty-two years ago)

Exactly! "'There's Always Music In The Air': The Aural Aesthetic of David Lynch." That was another one of mine.

Tep (ktepi), Saturday, 26 April 2003 18:04 (twenty-two years ago)

Damn. I can't remember the title I gave it, but I wrote a paper in 1991 on 'The Eric Lindros Controversy as a Microcosm of Québec-English Canada Relations'

mookieproof (mookieproof), Saturday, 26 April 2003 20:09 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm going to write one this weekend called "The First Rule About Torture Is You Don'T Talk About Torture: Violence and Modern Fiction"

Ally (mlescaut), Saturday, 26 April 2003 23:25 (twenty-two years ago)

If you incorporate flashback humor, you'll be my hero.

Tep (ktepi), Saturday, 26 April 2003 23:26 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm going to write it all similarly to Fight Club: "This is Ally's sense of failing this class".

Ally (mlescaut), Saturday, 26 April 2003 23:45 (twenty-two years ago)

"With a gun in your mouth you can only type in vowels."
"If I could fight anyone, I'd fight Marshall Fucking McLuhan."
"This is my paper, and it's ending one sentence at a time."

Tep (ktepi), Saturday, 26 April 2003 23:52 (twenty-two years ago)

It's also about American Psycho though, not just Fight Club.

"The paper this is printed on was bought at Kate's Paperie. It cost $.50 per sheet, I believe it is made by Hammermill. The ink is from an HP LaserJet 4050N, and I think it looks crisp and smart upon the extrodinary whiteness of this sheet of paper"

Ally (mlescaut), Sunday, 27 April 2003 00:00 (twenty-two years ago)

"Don't just stare at it... READ it."

luna (luna.c), Sunday, 27 April 2003 00:14 (twenty-two years ago)

three weeks pass...
Talk about arriving late to a party....

Hey, does anyone have any webspace for me to use? I have a picture of a really close friend and me that I'm unsure is a wise thing to share (I think I look horrible) from two years ago, before I lost some weight, and I don't have any space to upload it in so I could get one or two of you to look at it and decide if it's wise to share it with the whole group, or if it would bee too much of a risk in terms of the group's appetite.

Hey, I'm confident about my inside self, not my outside self.

I'm envious of all of you who've posted photos thus far. You guys have such beautiful skin colors. And your heads look in proportion to your bodies. And you have interesting hair colors. Damn you. ;)

Dee the Semi-Lurker (Dee the Lurker), Friday, 23 May 2003 09:26 (twenty-two years ago)

There is a new thread for this. Somewhere.

Nordicskillz (Nordicskillz), Friday, 23 May 2003 09:32 (twenty-two years ago)

I look like a three-legged dog trying to lick its ass after drinking a gallon of anti-freeze.

ric, Friday, 23 May 2003 11:00 (twenty-two years ago)

Maybe you should lay off the anti-freeze.

Andrew Farrell (afarrell), Friday, 23 May 2003 11:02 (twenty-two years ago)

Maybe you should lay off the anti-freeze.
...not going to happen any time soon.

three months pass...
I have phone now, phone has camera, let's see if they get along:

http://www.idea-inc.com/~bill/1104623493.jpg

Tep (ktepi), Monday, 15 September 2003 19:35 (twenty-one years ago)

You look dubious!

(as in dubious of whether the camera works or not)

s1utsky (slutsky), Monday, 15 September 2003 19:51 (twenty-one years ago)

People always say I look "surly," and then I gotta kick their asses and stuff.

But yeah, I tend to view all cellular phones with dubiosity.

Tep (ktepi), Monday, 15 September 2003 19:53 (twenty-one years ago)

Tep you look a little like my boyfriend!

teeny (teeny), Monday, 15 September 2003 20:05 (twenty-one years ago)

Tep lives in the Matrix!

Spencer Chow (spencermfi), Monday, 15 September 2003 20:07 (twenty-one years ago)

Yeah, I guess we knew the Matrix was populated by gamers.

teeny (teeny), Monday, 15 September 2003 20:09 (twenty-one years ago)

My forehead is alarmingly large in that photograph, and why am I doing the Janine in Ghostbusters glasses thing? But it's not like I can see the photograph as I'm taking it, so.

I'm not a gamer! Well, wait. All right.

Tep (ktepi), Monday, 15 September 2003 20:10 (twenty-one years ago)

gah! Doppelganger! doppelganger!

note to self: kill tep when you encounter tep, as he may try to steal your identity.

Kingfish (Kingfish), Monday, 15 September 2003 20:13 (twenty-one years ago)

That is nothing like what I thought Tep looked like. That is what I thought Kingfish looked like. So. I think Kingfish is indeed the victim of identity theft.

Chris P (Chris P), Monday, 15 September 2003 20:49 (twenty-one years ago)

Or, I guess, identity thrift, since why get your own identity when you can borrow someone else's?

That is what I thought Kingfish looked like

wait, is that a good thing or a bad thing?

Kingfish (Kingfish), Monday, 15 September 2003 22:29 (twenty-one years ago)

OK, I just spent five minutes trying to google up a picture of what I thought Tep looked like, and it didn't work. You certainly didn't have the facial scruff in my imagination.

Chris P (Chris P), Tuesday, 16 September 2003 00:02 (twenty-one years ago)

I haven't not had facial hair, for more than a couple weeks at a time, since like 1991 :) I look ... all wrong ... without it.

Did I look like Aladdin Sane? That'd be kind of cool.

Tep (ktepi), Tuesday, 16 September 2003 00:32 (twenty-one years ago)

Tep & Sam, both complete suprises!

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Tuesday, 16 September 2003 07:25 (twenty-one years ago)

Now I really want to know what I looked like in peoples' heads!

Tep (ktepi), Tuesday, 16 September 2003 11:07 (twenty-one years ago)

Haha, I don't know exactly, but just not what you look like!

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Tuesday, 16 September 2003 11:11 (twenty-one years ago)

I'm gonna stick with "Aladdin Sane," then.

Tep (ktepi), Tuesday, 16 September 2003 11:16 (twenty-one years ago)

you looked more like nate patrin.

RJG (RJG), Tuesday, 16 September 2003 11:20 (twenty-one years ago)

You looked like a cartoon, Tep. Possibly...

Chuck Tatum (Chuck Tatum), Tuesday, 16 September 2003 14:42 (twenty-one years ago)

See FAQ (link at foot of page) - basically it does need to be on a website somewhere.

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Tuesday, 16 September 2003 18:03 (twenty-one years ago)

judge for yourself Tep/Kingfish...here is a picture of a picture of me and mr teeny.

Mr. Teeny's a whole lotta man for little ol' you! (you guys are hella cute in that pic!)

nickalicious (nickalicious), Tuesday, 16 September 2003 20:15 (twenty-one years ago)

you look like a cross between my best friend's sister and Princess Leia in that photo. (which is a good thing)

oops (Oops), Tuesday, 16 September 2003 21:19 (twenty-one years ago)

Now I gotta be honest, since you'd mentioned he was Syrian, I was imagining a different look to him. Hurrah for my ethnocentricities being squashed. :-)

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 16 September 2003 21:54 (twenty-one years ago)

he's only part syrian and he doesn't look it much...he got the pale german side of the family.

teeny (teeny), Tuesday, 16 September 2003 22:39 (twenty-one years ago)

teeny's actually on the money about me being a cartoon, the photograph was of me in my fleshsuit.

(And The Kingfish And I are secretly Mr Teeny. But never ever call us that.)

Tep (ktepi), Wednesday, 17 September 2003 02:33 (twenty-one years ago)

I totally pictured Tep as skinny, tan, straight-haired, clean-shaven, and smiley.

sundar subramanian (sundar), Wednesday, 17 September 2003 02:43 (twenty-one years ago)

That's Bizarro Tep. Me hate him.

(Looking at the pic again, I am not nearly that pale. I'm not pale at all. There's no flash on the camera, so I was standing very near the hallway light.)

Tep (ktepi), Wednesday, 17 September 2003 02:47 (twenty-one years ago)

phil-two (phil-two), Wednesday, 17 September 2003 03:02 (twenty-one years ago)

Why on Earth am I looking up? Possibly the cat had just leapt over my head. Okay, tomorrow, new photograph. I might have to Photoshop in a cat or a pickle or something to justify it. Oh, that reminds me!

Tep (ktepi), Wednesday, 17 September 2003 03:06 (twenty-one years ago)

of what???

phil-two (phil-two), Wednesday, 17 September 2003 03:22 (twenty-one years ago)

-- that I'd meant to snap that photograph of my handwriting and post it to the handwriting thread :)

Tep (ktepi), Wednesday, 17 September 2003 03:28 (twenty-one years ago)

Tep, I too thought you'd look different than what you ended up looking like. Maybe I figured you wouldn't have facial hair, or would've had darker-colored hair, or something. I don't know. You just look... different, 'tis all. But yeah, total doppelganger action with Kingfish!

Sam (chirombo), you are a cutie! In fact, this forum practically only ever seems to CONTAIN cuties/people who are damned attractive. Why on bloody Earth are you nowhere near me? Oh yes, that's right, cream of the crop, etc.

teeny, you and your boyfriend are yet ANOTHER cute couple! Yay!

Fabrice, you look sophisticated.

I need to have a newer photo taken of me. Unless you guys would be interested in a high school-era photo of me... ?

Just Deanna (Dee the Lurker), Wednesday, 17 September 2003 03:51 (twenty-one years ago)

I had my hair cut, so I may as well stick a new pic here now, which will of course get lost in the HUGE loadyload this thread has become:

http://www.memorygongs.com/me_sept.jpg

I look like Im strangling myself or something!

Trayce (trayce), Wednesday, 17 September 2003 04:01 (twenty-one years ago)

Of course! (to Dee)

You're in your 30s Trayce???

oops (Oops), Wednesday, 17 September 2003 04:02 (twenty-one years ago)

I am! I know, I dont look it, and I really dont look it in that photo for some reason. Maybe its the schoolgirly shirt heh.

Trayce (trayce), Wednesday, 17 September 2003 04:13 (twenty-one years ago)

OMG, Trayce, you rock!

Ok, here I am in my junior year of HS, with messed-up "I'm busy, damn it" hair and absolutely no makeup whatsoever (some things never change), after school, trying to relax a bit after another round of club/organization meetings before hitting some homework and biding my time before I get picked up at 5 p.m. and start the hour-long trip home (time factoring in rush hour traffic).

http://deanna.ladyinterference.com/ilx/hspiccie.jpg

And I will not be at all surprised if some lurking music crit geekoid spots the book lying flimsily on my cross-legged lap and says, "Ah-ha! I recognize that!"

Just Deanna (Dee the Lurker), Wednesday, 17 September 2003 04:30 (twenty-one years ago)

Trayce looks nothing like she looks in my head (where she looks like Willow from Buffy), but Dee-in-HS does a little bit.

Tep (ktepi), Wednesday, 17 September 2003 04:34 (twenty-one years ago)

Ah-ha! You'd always had it in your head that I looked like a chipmunk! ;)

(No, seriously. I think I look like a chipmunk in that photo. Or just someone with a deformed/misshapen head. *laugh*)

Just Deanna (Dee the Lurker), Wednesday, 17 September 2003 04:42 (twenty-one years ago)

You thought I looked like Willow, Tep? heh. I'm flattered. Its because of the anime-me pic innit ;)

Trayce (trayce), Wednesday, 17 September 2003 04:53 (twenty-one years ago)

Oh, I'll bet it is, Trayce!

And Dee, no, it's the expression on your face. That's not a bad thing!

Tep (ktepi), Wednesday, 17 September 2003 05:18 (twenty-one years ago)

Dee, that's an adorable picture! And I love the hair updates Trayce, keep 'em coming!

teeny (teeny), Wednesday, 17 September 2003 12:02 (twenty-one years ago)

I drew this about 8 months ago in a fit of boredom one night, you won't be able to see it unless you're my friendster so maybe someone could download it and host it elsewhere so others can see it. I think it may be a masterpiece:

David. (Cozen), Wednesday, 17 September 2003 16:20 (twenty-one years ago)

So what you're basically saying, David, is that you look like Amelie? I'm a bit confused here.

Just Deanna (Dee the Lurker), Wednesday, 17 September 2003 16:23 (twenty-one years ago)

p.s.: *hugest hugs in the whole bleedin' world* to teeny.

Just Deanna (Dee the Lurker), Wednesday, 17 September 2003 16:24 (twenty-one years ago)

I look nothing like Amelia. I just thought I'd share. You know that.

David. (Cozen), Wednesday, 17 September 2003 16:25 (twenty-one years ago)

Nor Amelie.

David. (Cozen), Wednesday, 17 September 2003 16:27 (twenty-one years ago)

Trayce and Dee look rather how they did in my head, because these aren't the first pics they have posted. I am still astounded at the loveliness of the ILX women. I was arguing with someone in AIM last night on the theme of whether gorgeous women were less appealing in terms of personality and intellect (I think they aren't, in any way we can generalise about), and I find it kind of hard to see how anyone can remotely hold that impression while hanging around here.

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Wednesday, 17 September 2003 16:32 (twenty-one years ago)

David: Well, it is a cute little drawing (of Amelie *grins and winks*), and thank you tremendously for sharing, but the synapses aren't exactly working at the mo and so I'll just settle for being a bit mystified but still grateful you decided to share. :)

*reads Martin's post, blushes furiously and stammers to try to convey the level of appreciation residing from within*

Just Deanna (Dee the Lurker), Wednesday, 17 September 2003 16:35 (twenty-one years ago)

What do you think about this, officer Farrell?
