which is somewhat less creepy than inter-generational incest porn.

elmo argonaut (allocryptic), Friday, 5 January 2007 19:34 (nineteen years ago)

lauren (laurenp), Friday, 5 January 2007 19:44 (nineteen years ago)

so are female twins some sort of exception to the incest rule? because that shit is all up in playboy.

Jessie the Monster (scarymonsterrr), Friday, 5 January 2007 19:46 (nineteen years ago)

I really need to know what was meant by it being VERY apparent that they were related, unless Jessie OTM and we are just making silly noise about female twins squishing their boobies together.

Allyzay Eisenschefter Pop You To The Extreme (allyzay), Friday, 5 January 2007 19:49 (nineteen years ago)

I would like to point out that I find female twins squishing their boobies together kind of gross too.

Jessie the Monster (scarymonsterrr), Friday, 5 January 2007 19:50 (nineteen years ago)

jaymc (jaymc), Friday, 5 January 2007 21:03 (nineteen years ago)

I really need to know what was meant by it being VERY apparent that they were related

Ally, it was VERY apparent because (A) they looked damn near exactly alike, (B) they looked, uh... very well practiced with each other, like they had done it 1000x times, and (C) I think they had matching / relating tattoos or something?

and yes, it was gay porn. and fyi, i watched it because it was bareback porn, not because it was incest porn. [/crepe]

Way back when, Ned said the people just wanted to rock. He was right, of course. In many ways, what I call punk is just something that resulted from the confluence of that desire (built of a decade's worth of flabby "progressive" pop) and certain then-popular fin-de-siecle memes. But it worked. It took hold. It took a bunch of secret art-world narratives and gave them to the people, and the people took them to heart.

It lasts, for the most part, because it lasts. And we'll stop talking about it when it ceases to matter.

Where this sort of thing goes way too far = I bought a jacket this fall and only noticed when I looked at the receipt later that it appeared to be named after a Radiohead song. I looked up the designer online, and every jacket in the line was named after a Radiohead song. The sad thing is that as much as I like the jacket, I don't think I would have purchased it if I'd known this.

violence is funny to me somehow:

NEW YORK (AFP) - Members of a close-harmony group from Yale University are recovering after being ambushed and beaten up while on tour in California.

Members of the a cappella Baker's Dozen were performing at a party in San Francisco at the new year when their rendition of the "Star Spangled Banner" apparently sparked taunts and threats from fellow partygoers.

As the group left the house, they were attacked by dozens of assailants, suffering scrapes, black eyes and concussions, said Connecticut's News Channel 8.

"Besides any bruising or scrapes to the face, the main injury I suffered was I broke my jaw in two places," one of the singers, 18-year-old Sharyar Aziz, was quoted as saying.

He was NOT "POSSESSED BY SATAN". You'd have to be a cretin to think that.

He SOLD HIS SOUL to SATAN. That's very different. This also explains all the features I was talking about. Satan, however would leave him alone until his time came, at which point he would dragged down into the feiry pit of brimstone for ETERNITY.

Stoners: (Or how to be successful at stonery)

1. If you have a job, rush home from it without going anywhere except your dealer's house, although preferably s/he's your housemate
2. You must have a huge TV in your living room and at least one video game machine
3. Stories that you think are funny while stoned must be repeated to everyone who comes into your house for at least 3 months
4. Got any money? NO, man, I'm broke. My job sucks. Hey, pass me that bong. (pulls out 1/2 oz of weed.)
5. Yeah, I've been thinking about going back to school. (for 6 years now). Dude, I'm totally jealous that you graduated.
6. Yeah, man, I'd love to come check out your new place, since I never came over to your last place. My car's fucked, though, it needs a $40 belt and I'm afraid to drive it. I can't afford to fix it (pulls out 3/4 oz of weed) hey, let's twist one.
7. Dude, the Simpsons is on.
8. Dude, the Simpsons is on (puts in videotape with every episode from the beginning, for the 463rd time).
9. No, man, I can't afford to go out, I'm just going to chill at my pad. Seriously, though, you should stop by.
9. Man, I never get any play. I don't fuckin' get it. I never meet any cool chicks/guys.

Repeat ad infinitum.

In the article she basically says that the RIAA will go after this little black dude in Memphis, but won't go after the white owned company who sells mixtapes to Best Buy and major chains.

See, some people would suggest that the RIAA is run by racist motherfuckers. But not me, oh no.

awesome, a new employee who just transferred from milwaukee came over to my desk to ask me something and i had this thread open but minimized to my task bar. while she was talking to me i heard her pause so i looked at her and she was staring at my screen. i looked at the screen to see what was up and realized that the window for this read "GAY ASS PIX..."

it's relatively cheap to live in chicago if you don't mind living in an uncool neighborhood. i live right by belmont and milwaukee (polish people aren't cool)...i pay 685 a month (heat included) for a huge 1 bedroom apartment that has a large dining room, new oak floors, bay windows, original restored wooden doors, trim, cabinets, new bathroom, etc. it's by far the nicest apartment i've ever lived in.

My personal opinion is that one of the greatest things about British music is the propensity (or tendency, rather) towards the TUNE ... it used to seem like the unique thing about British music. But I guess really it was just what often set it apart from US music for me.

Could you elaborate? What sort of tuneless American music are you contrasting it with here?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

oh...that would be far too many groups to name, I'm sorry. Well, take the Happy Flowers for instance. Or Nirvana. It could be almost anything. Though I'm honestly not trying to diss those bands in saying this. Even Sonic Youth, who I have much respect for, aren't nearly as adept in the tune department as Brits can be. But the Killers? You deserved every damn thing you got and you know it. To you this may just be a game, but to some of us this is a very real thing. I haven't spent 75 days of my life playing this game so I can !*!#ing LOSE BATTLEGROUND GAMES because you think it's CUTE to screw around. If any one person caused this breakup, it was you.

I was completely justified in letting your girlfriend know you were flirting with Menah. You think I ruined your life? Well as my idol Obi-Wan Kenobi put it in Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith, "You have done that yourself." I can't stand !!@@*#%s like you who think you can run around seducing all of the fair skinned Night Elven maidens after you get home from kissing your Mormon girlfriend on the park bench. Somebody has to stand up for the little woman. Unluckily for you, that someone turned out to be me.

I bet you didn't expect me to find out your girlfriend's email address, did you? Yeah, too bad I did, with a little help from my good friend Google. (Look it up sometime, you'd be suprised.) I bet you also didn't expect me to make an RAR of all the screenshots I took of your flirting either. (All in PNG format, of course.) Heh. You didn't even expect me to put a password on the file, did you? Yeah. I called your girlfriend to relay it to her. I covered all my bases. Looks like you just got shutout. Hopefully your former girlfriend will be able to sleep soundly at night now. I know I will. Especially now that I know there's still justice left in this world. Justice by the name of Daisies.

My girlfriend was telling me that I should relate our story on these forums so you all can get a good laugh.

A year ago, the Thorium Brotherhood server launched. I rolled a character and ended up in a guild called Forge. We levelled up together, and raided many server firsts. Even after I left the server they continued with a great deal of success.

Among the members of the guild were a married couple, Faite and Briare, a Warrior and Paladin. They levelled together and didnt really associate with the other guildmembers. Briare (the wife) was the only one who talked on Ventrilo, etc. Our guildleader knew them from a previous server.

One night in Upper Blackrock Spire, when the rest of the server was still doing Scarlet Monastery, we were killing Drak. Of course the Deflector dropped, as it always seems to. No one was really that excited as we all had 60s on other servers, so it wasnt like we didnt know that thing always dropped. Well, Faite, the husband, was a Fury warrior. We had a guy named Zyn, a dwarf, as our main tank. I was in charge of loot at the time as we didnt have a point system set up yet. I gave the shield to our main tank instead of the fury warrior who was "considering going prot". I told him just to hold his horses we'd get him one in a couple hours if he really wanted one.

He wasnt happy with that. He fired off the /gquit and threw a huge fit. Well anyway he eventually pressured his wife to quit the guild. His wife was an officer and a great person.

We got to talking and she eventually came back to the guild.... not long after that we were talking on the phone.

I found out she was very unhappy with her marriage and that she wanted to leave her husband. I encouraged her to leave her husband because it seemed she had a family that would help her out. She left her husband, not long after that, we met in real life. I flew out to where she lived and visited for a few days. We meshed really well. I decided that since I had nothing going where I was at, that I'd move down there. She encouraged me to get a job where she worked and we soon moved in together.

We've been living together for over 6 months and things are wonderful.

Just thought I'd let you guys know that the next time you whine about not getting some loot, think about the warrior Faite, and how his complaining about a Draconian Deflector lost him his wife to a guildmate.

those forums are a treasure trove

It's a 4g nano. I walk and bus most everywhere. It will probably live most of the time in my breast pocket with my phone and pens and pencils. Do I want something rigid? Cushiony? Cushiony within rigid? Should there be a closable hatch for the controls, or just an open space? Keep in mind I'm cheap, so I want a cheap whatever it is, but also one that will unfailingly protect against all kinds of mishaps, assaults, drive-by shootings, gelatinous cube ambushes, and hipster disdain because I sure as hell ain't affording a replacement notime soon.

i wrote a short story too:

Magnus dashed into the shower area desperately. He had been stalking one special mech for weeks, and now it was time for him to make his move. Silently he removed his codpiece and slipped into the occupied stall.

The small robot turned to gawk at Ultra Magnus' long staff. "Wheelie say, Ultra Magnus is horny today!" he chirped.

"Damn straight!" the city commander growled and bent the small robot over. "Rear entry commencing!"

Wheelie gasped as Magnus' immense cock entered his small aft. "Wheelie say, never thought you were gay!"

"Shut up and push!" Magnus gasped, moaning. Those rhymes really fired his synapses. He couldn't resist a rhyme of his own. "I'm through with your bum, I'm about to cum!"

Wheelie gasped in between moans, "Then enough of fucking, I'll start sucking!"

It took all of his restraint not to cum, but Magnus calmed himself and pulled out of the small robot's rear. Wheelie turned around, his pinkish cock saluting his commander as he knelt and licked the immense rod before him. "This isn't a joke, your cock's going down my throat!" he sighed, making the rhyme sound extremely sensual.

With such a suave stud sucking his cock, Magnus could hold back no longer. He roared and fired a wad of cum all over Wheelie's face and chest. The tiny robot shut down his optics and savored the feeling as the hot liquid splashed over him.

so thankfully it wasn't a frozen pipe that caused all that damage but a leaky pipe that went to the toilet off the kitchen. So, sue couldn't blame us for the problem BUT she did manage to chide dan about being to lenient with me.

"Oh Dan, you should ah make her clean house ah. What you don't make your wife ah clean ah? ohhhhhhhhhhhhh?!?"

Dan's response: "yeah, she doesn't really listen I'm going to have to start beating her."

holy shit. pretty sure my friend Tom F. and I made videos like that...

we also had one called Hair Kare, which was set in an apocalyptic future without personal hygiene products. One day, the hero (whose name I forget), finds a bottle of shampoo in a dump. The Main Boss, Jofa Dillfrick (who always wore a Jofa hockey helmet), finds out and sends his hitman I-Ski (named for the brand of sunglasses he wore) after the hero. They fight. Eventually, everyone is reconciled and suds up together in the closing credits.

9/11 has had no tangible effect on me other than longer waits at airports (and I don't fly much anyway). I feel horrible for everyone who lost loved ones in the attacks or subsequently in Afghanistan/Iraq, but it's a little surreal that while all of this has gone on, I am still riding my bike to the store to get a baguette, or getting excited about some new album, or having conversations on my porch. It's weird.

I wonder if this was what the Vietnam era was like for those who didn't enlist/ get drafted.

oh man i saw these guys once. the best part was the preshow. after they had signed eveyrone's gy!be memorabilia, they allowed us all to get a photo taken with them, if we were so inclined. of course, i was inclined. and of course, my camera lens had something on it, so there's some weird light spot on the side of the picture, but i didn't even care. it was just such an awesome experience to be so close to them. the guys were all very laid back and nice, which made it hard to feel like they were any kind of celebrities. they were just people. I think that's what makes them so great.

From another board, thread about how Jay-Z is paying 65,000/month for some apartment:

We see yr logic, yr pro-renter, therefore theres really no difference if you pay $1500/m or $65G's/m, it;s all the same if your filthy rich, Right ?????

Guess what, yr Homeboy JZ, success isn;t going to be longlived, at that rate, if your albums fail, and your investments tank, your back to driving a Chevy and paying $1500 a month for a basement apt.

Amazing so much blog time is given to this lowlife...

Mickey Borchardt: "Sinking a Music Pirate" (L.A. Times, April 3, 2006)
This simpering piece of garbage could have been written by an RIAA operative: a college student busted for illegal downloading details how the FBI dragged him into court while concluding that "stealing of any kind is wrong." Wonder if this essay was part of his plea bargain? If so, they should throw the book at him, though they probably won't since he's acted like such a good little tool.
