Ned is coming to Seattle on the eve of the 19th to catch the Squirrels annual Xmas show this coming Friday evening at the (I believe) Tractor Tavern. (which is where the esteemed Mountain Goats played for our last FAP up here). And then will want to be served by the masses on the 20th.

We were thinking of a dinner FAP thing at the Melting Pot, that fondue restaurant in lower Queen Anne, right next to the Easy Street Records.. off Mercer St. between 1st Ave and Queen Anne Ave.

The esteemed Mr. Ned Raggett will be in town this weekend, and we are thinking of going to the Melting Pot, a fondue restaurant, in lower Queen Anne (in the corner between Easy Street Records and the 10 Mercer restaurant).

I just called and it seems like the full blown dinner deal with burners on your table, with dessert and everything comes out to around $30 to $45 per person, which made me FAH-REAK, and would certainly be a turn off to some -- ok, ALL of us here. (However, just in case people ARE cool with that, I made a reservation for 9:15pm which i can cancel) HOWEVER they have a cocktail lounge area where you can order more appetizer based fondue dishes for quite a bit less. I figure THIS is what our option should be, and where we will be eating and hanging out. And I was thinking of getting there by 7:30pm or 8pm, if we?re doing the cocktail lounge thing. This will allow plenty of time for chat and for Mike to stop by and say hi without much ado. (And keep in mind, you don't have to eat anything there if ya don't want, if money is a big concern.)

And I will try to burn some 1978 mega-mp3 mix CDs to hand out at the dinner. At the very least, you can request one, and I will get one to you some time after.
