Well, since it seems that my original post asking this question has mysteriously disappeared from the archives *gives everyone the eye* I'll try asking this again.
Has anyone watched the special features on the Chappelle's Show Season 2 DVD with the extra Charlie Murphy true hollywood stories? If so, there's one story he tells that involes him having to beat the shit out of a relatively well-known black celebrity/comedian around the time he was doing security for his brother. He describes him as "the black John Belushi" as far as his drinking habits and outrageous behavior goes. Yet apparently this guy is famous enough that they had to bleep out his name each time Charlie slips up and says it.
Does anyone know who this story is about? In the original post I speculated that Robin Harris was the only person that might have fit the description. Though that seems kind of unlikeley. Although, the fact that he's since died might make it logical that they'd leave his name out as a matter of respect. Not sure.
Either way, maybe by now more people have checked out the DVDs and can give their opinion on it. Ideally someone may even know the real story. Let's have it, folks!
