You know... US slang for do the nasty. Eek. Somehow our friendship got a bit outta hand, and it's not appropirate, so I flipped for a moment. When he comes out og the shower we will shift gears into more comfortable territory. Thanks, Wiggy out.

Wiggy (Wiggy), Sunday, 10 July 2005 02:21 (twenty years ago)

when your partner showers for you before coitus, that is a beautiful gift

cousin larry bundgee (bundgee), Sunday, 10 July 2005 02:32 (twenty years ago)

Also, most Americans I know would say "bone" or "fuck" before 'boff'.

luna (luna.c), Sunday, 10 July 2005 02:34 (twenty years ago)

But, will you soon be an old woman who will regret not slurping your friends hot dingus back when you had the chance?

shampoo queen, Sunday, 10 July 2005 03:12 (twenty years ago)

Do him!

Orbit (Orbit), Sunday, 10 July 2005 03:28 (twenty years ago)

There is a woman from the marketing department currently in my shower.

teeny (teeny), Sunday, 10 July 2005 03:51 (twenty years ago)

If he floats your boat, do him. If not, keep the docks closed.

Also, most Americans I know would say "bone" or "fuck" before 'boff'.

"Could you stay in the shower for a couple more hours while the jury on ILX makes up their mind whether I should do you or not? K THX BYE, here's a ducky to play with."

StanM (StanM), Sunday, 10 July 2005 05:46 (twenty years ago)

fuck a duck

ken c (ken c), Sunday, 10 July 2005 05:59 (twenty years ago)

I thought it was the brits who said "boff", because on Babylon 5 when Marcus Cole (who was british) died, Ivanova was all weepysad and saying "and to think, I could have... have... BOFFED him!". Implying she was speaking like he would, I guess.

Trayce (trayce), Sunday, 10 July 2005 06:49 (twenty years ago)

Or maybe she said "I should have boffed him". Anyway.

Trayce (trayce), Sunday, 10 July 2005 06:50 (twenty years ago)

Is it safe to assume that he's come out of the shower now? I NEED UPDATES!

Mickey (modestmickey), Sunday, 10 July 2005 07:04 (twenty years ago)

I think she may be busy at the moment...

Girolamo Savonarola, Sunday, 10 July 2005 07:25 (twenty years ago)

"fuck a duck"

bandname! altho it's spelled fukkeduk.

nathalie's body's designed for two (stevie nixed), Sunday, 10 July 2005 07:30 (twenty years ago)

Fuck washing a duck.

err..

Trayce (trayce), Sunday, 10 July 2005 07:31 (twenty years ago)

Update?

Girolamo Savonarola, Sunday, 10 July 2005 16:38 (twenty years ago)

He was in the shower = there was no avoiding it. Just as a matter of etiquette. "I don't think we should." / "But I took a shower already!" / "Well, I dunno ... I guess, but quick, okay?"

nabiscothingy, Sunday, 10 July 2005 18:23 (twenty years ago)

Update: Thanks you guys! Teeny ‘specially. The supreme compliment – to have Teeny say “I have really arrived on ilx” when I have made a bunch of ilx fauxpas as of late being a newcomer.

I did gracefully duck (no, not fukkaduk the band or otherwise) the gentleman in the shower. As you could all clearly tell by my typing, some spirits had been consumed and it was getting a little too closeforcomfort between my good friend who had come by to visit and myself. And one of you said that showering prior to the deed is a gift; is it ever in so many ways! In this case it bought me a little time to sober up and play computer geek (which I guess I really am anyway) since Jumping on the computer to get a little advice from the gang before boffing qualifies me as a card-carrying geek. While perhaps not the most rational idea, it did however, achieve my goal to cool things off.

As for saying “boff” in my posting, rather than some of the other lovely options that were suggested in the answers… while yes, it tends to be more of a Brit colloquialism and yes I am a US gal, I was born to a Brit daddy who used all the usual Brit idioms which I picked up and they stuck with me. Spent a fair amount of time while growing up in UK and elsewhere throughout the world too, thus some of my spelling and slang is “foreign”to the US. I get a fair amount of ribbing about it here too for instance saying I am going on holiday instead of vacation gets my workmates poking fun. I use both now actually. I tend to fall back on the British slang when I am rushed, and not thinking, or been drinking and not thinking. But enough about me. I am dull. Has anyone heard from Liz yet? This is disturbing me deeply.

Thank you all again. You’re a fun group and I am happy to have joined the group. FAP? Anybody in Los Angeles, CA?

Wiggy (Wiggy), Sunday, 10 July 2005 23:56 (twenty years ago)

Me, Luna, Spencer, Gear! and others I am forgetting are in LA, I think. Ned is in OC, about 40 miles south.

Orbit (Orbit), Monday, 11 July 2005 00:15 (twenty years ago)

I hope you were playing 'Underwear' by Pulp when this scenario was happening, Wiggy.

taking a shower before sex seems pointless.

taking a shower before sex seems pointless.
-- hstencil (hstenc!...), July 11th, 2005.

standard practice in america in the 50s, tons of movies made coy ref to the sexing by having people take showers. seriously.
