I did gracefully duck (no, not fukkaduk the band or otherwise) the gentleman in the shower. As you could all clearly tell by my typing, some spirits had been consumed and it was getting a little too closeforcomfort between my good friend who had come by to visit and myself. And one of you said that showering prior to the deed is a gift; is it ever in so many ways! In this case it bought me a little time to sober up and play computer geek (which I guess I really am anyway) since Jumping on the computer to get a little advice from the gang before boffing qualifies me as a card-carrying geek. While perhaps not the most rational idea, it did however, achieve my goal to cool things off.
As for saying “boff” in my posting, rather than some of the other lovely options that were suggested in the answers… while yes, it tends to be more of a Brit colloquialism and yes I am a US gal, I was born to a Brit daddy who used all the usual Brit idioms which I picked up and they stuck with me. Spent a fair amount of time while growing up in UK and elsewhere throughout the world too, thus some of my spelling and slang is “foreign”to the US. I get a fair amount of ribbing about it here too for instance saying I am going on holiday instead of vacation gets my workmates poking fun. I use both now actually. I tend to fall back on the British slang when I am rushed, and not thinking, or been drinking and not thinking. But enough about me. I am dull. Has anyone heard from Liz yet? This is disturbing me deeply.
Thank you all again. You’re a fun group and I am happy to have joined the group. FAP? Anybody in Los Angeles, CA?
