'Greendale' - what do we think?

After the disappointment of 'Are You Passionate''s chirpy, lightweight R&B, I reckon Neil Young's 'Greendale' is his best album since 'Sleeps With Angels', full of intrigue and in 'Bandit' and 'Be The Rain', genuine future classics. It seems to have totally divided people, however. What do you lot reckon?

I think this:

Greendale: The Album
Anybody seen Neil Young do Greendale?
Neil Young's Greendale Thing
I just got a bootleg of Greendale, live...

totally divided people

The live show seems to have done so (I haven't seen it), but the reception to the album seems pretty uniformly positive, if not quite overwhelming.

It's getting better with every listen. I'm upgrading it to "good" from "just the right side of mediocre". Definitely the best since Sleeps With Angels.
