Congrats to them for using the word 'continuity' in a song.

Just stumbled upon the new album on Spotify. Really great - I wish these guys would have found a larger audience.

Favorites on the new album are 'Glide,' 'Denslow,' and 'Sediment.'

This is sounding good. I didn't realize they had a new one. I still listen to that Prints album, though.

I've been on a bit of a binge lately, finally checking out the last one & relistening to Autumn... after a few years away (I remember digging it but somehow I lost the CD before ripping it)—one thing that strikes me now that didn't at the time is how "Walter" stands out as the rare Pinback song that changes directions totally midway through

they're on tour now playing Summer in Abaddon...tempted as it's my favorite record of theirs
― calstars, Thursday, 14 August 2014 03:24 (twelve years ago)
ya Summer is deathless

Newest one sounds a bit Pinback-by-numbers, unfortunately :/ Only the first & last songs really grab me

(... then again, if you're trying to make an album I will listen to repeatedly, there are plenty of worse ways to go about it)

The Offcell/Abaddon period was really something.

I hope he'll come to his senses and realize he doesn't have to abuse twitter and can just be quiet publicly and make good music, the way Zach does.

That's a really weird reading calstars, his follow-up seemed to go in a pretty reasonable direction. It's a shame, but hopefully he'll be in a better place at some point.

The new Thundercat EP is Pinback-like in places.

I think "Todo" is probably their best song, where they're best able to balance rhythm, melody, and emotion. Too bad it's a b side
