CDR80 -- As Son Sought, Mother Asked Not [mix]

After doing a noise/spazz rock mix, I figure it was time for an anti-dote.. a mix your parents could enjoy, and would have enjoyed in their younger years (I hope.) It was mainly inspired by the Thursday weekly DJ event at the Lava Lounge in Seattle called DJ And The Bear: Music You Hate To Luv, which is supposed to be a night where you hear music your parents were/are into -- and has been very popular. (The poster design for this event is priceless... Let's just say it would get ch/-\k1 really hard.) Being shackled at work, I actually haven't had a chance to make it out to the night itself, but having heard a cursory description, this following mix is my stab at what I'm guessing would be played on a typical night (and I stress "guessing".):
