I think one of the major problems I have with so called 'black hip-hop' is how self derogatory it often is. I kinda get tired of hearing 'muther fuckin this, and muther fukin' that,' bleating on about whuping your 'hos and bitches, lets kill some cops, etc. Call me boring but I'd like to hear something deeper going on in the lyrics, something which gets beyond the 'life on the street' schtick. I often like the music though, I just wish the narrative moved on a bit.

Do it if you really love teaching and believe in it, and you can live without ICEY accoutrements. And don't teach high school if you got a pervin streak in you, these mutant kids look fuxorable in grade 9 these days. Good luck!

Possibilities also includes an awesome syncopated version of Sister Moon with Sting. Hancock and Sting also recorded a delightful cover of My Funny Valentine with Steve Jordan on drums that was unfortunately left off of the cd. oops,...you don't care....you don't really like music played by world class musicians....I forgot that for a moment.
