OK, so I guess November is Classic or Dud month then.
Which makes me remember this song. Hitlist-wise, it was almost a flop, hitting UK#29 - their lowest charting post-"Dare"-single that was not yet available on an album at the time.
Although this probably had more to do with the fact that synthpop was hardly very trendy in 1990, because, musically, it was a great return to form, and still one of their greatest singles. "Romantic?" - the album it was taken from - is only average when compared to other and greater Human League albums, but this single shines as one of their best moments ever, and a striking return to form musically, particularly thanks to the fact that they were working with "Dare"-producer Martin Rushent again (for this track only, plus one album track - "Get It Right This Time" - which was also among the better tracks on the "Romantic?" album).
Anyway, classic! One of the truly great Human League singles, and basically only beaten by several "Dare" tracks and possibly a couple of "Secret" tracks among their best ever work.
