Which do you prefer? Showers or baths? The majority of the time I'd say shower, partly because they are quick and also because my fingers and feet don't get as wrinkled.

But sometimes, I do like to relax in a nice warm bath with some lavender oil, a burning candle and a glass of wine or two.

ThErEdNeD (ThErEdNeD), Monday, 28 April 2003 15:42 (twenty-two years ago)

I like both, but take showers more often. Its quicker. I take baths usually after I play a baseball/hockey game to ease my muscles.

Chris V. (Chris V), Monday, 28 April 2003 15:48 (twenty-two years ago)

Usually I take showers - I like taking baths with other people.

luna (luna.c), Monday, 28 April 2003 15:49 (twenty-two years ago)

ugh.

Chris V. (Chris V), Monday, 28 April 2003 15:50 (twenty-two years ago)

You say that 'cos you've never taken a bath with me. I have bubbles and rubber duckies and everything.

luna (luna.c), Monday, 28 April 2003 15:56 (twenty-two years ago)

Here's an old Bath versus showers thread.

Some other related topics:
What's the longest you've gone without bathing?
how do you know you're in a hip bathroom?
A good book versus a warm bath
I'm utterly bored. I take a shower
snorting / blowing your nose in the shower
cold showers/horniness

There you go.
Personally, I lean more towards baths when it's cold outside and showers when it's hot. Though I have been known to take an occasional hot shower and cold bath.

Sarah McLUsky (coco), Monday, 28 April 2003 15:56 (twenty-two years ago)

i say ugh, because the thought of taking a bath with you gave me goosebumps. hahah.

Chris V. (Chris V), Monday, 28 April 2003 15:57 (twenty-two years ago)

yeah yeah, try to cover now

luna (luna.c), Monday, 28 April 2003 15:58 (twenty-two years ago)

i am going to hell.

Chris V. (Chris V), Monday, 28 April 2003 15:59 (twenty-two years ago)

i dont really like either.

jess (dubplatestyle), Monday, 28 April 2003 15:59 (twenty-two years ago)

Quick! Everyone post to all those threads I linked so we can revive them and have a huge bath/shower splashing party!

Sarah McLUsky (coco), Monday, 28 April 2003 15:59 (twenty-two years ago)

It only gave you goosebumps? Are you even alive?

buttch (Oops), Monday, 28 April 2003 16:00 (twenty-two years ago)

i have ice running through these veins.

Chris V. (Chris V), Monday, 28 April 2003 16:01 (twenty-two years ago)

hows this *drools*.

Chris V. (Chris V), Monday, 28 April 2003 16:01 (twenty-two years ago)

I had a friend in middle school that swore to me she hadn't bathed in about 2 years. She always seemed clean enough, but then again she wore lots of exclamation point perfume. So I believed her after several days of, "Uh-uh! You're such a liar!" Then she laughed in my face screaming, "I take showers! You're so stupid!!"

Sarah McLUsky (coco), Monday, 28 April 2003 16:02 (twenty-two years ago)

I have a really big bathtub, too, with jets

luna (luna.c), Monday, 28 April 2003 16:03 (twenty-two years ago)

I want one!

Sarah McLusky (coco), Monday, 28 April 2003 16:03 (twenty-two years ago)

Did you kick her ass, Sarah?

luna (luna.c), Monday, 28 April 2003 16:03 (twenty-two years ago)

The NY Jets? Tramp.

buttch (Oops), Monday, 28 April 2003 16:03 (twenty-two years ago)

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

Chris V. (Chris V), Monday, 28 April 2003 16:04 (twenty-two years ago)

Bathtubs really are too small for 2 people I've found, but it's still ok. I have a funny feeling an opportunity for some dual-bath action might be coming up soon.

Sean (Sean), Monday, 28 April 2003 16:05 (twenty-two years ago)

I haven't taken a shower or bath with a girl in years. 1. I'm married

Chris V. (Chris V), Monday, 28 April 2003 16:06 (twenty-two years ago)

2. I need to spruce up the lovin.

Chris V. (Chris V), Monday, 28 April 2003 16:07 (twenty-two years ago)

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh?

watch out for that pulled groin muscle, Chris

luna (luna.c), Monday, 28 April 2003 16:07 (twenty-two years ago)

I'll position it directly over one of your jets.

Chris V. (Chris V), Monday, 28 April 2003 16:08 (twenty-two years ago)

alright, im done. im not posting to this thread anymore.

Chris V. (Chris V), Monday, 28 April 2003 16:09 (twenty-two years ago)

hey, just because I said I like taking baths with other people doesn't necessarily mean they're sex baths, yanno

luna (luna.c), Monday, 28 April 2003 16:10 (twenty-two years ago)

yanni.

Chris V. (Chris V), Monday, 28 April 2003 16:11 (twenty-two years ago)

"just because I said I like taking baths with other people doesn't necessarily mean they're sex baths" --

well, sometimes people need help getting those hard-to-reach spots on their back and all.

absolute skittles, Monday, 28 April 2003 16:19 (twenty-two years ago)

I bathe in my own tears.

hstencil, Monday, 28 April 2003 16:20 (twenty-two years ago)

Well, that's true.

luna (luna.c), Monday, 28 April 2003 16:20 (twenty-two years ago)

For the day-to-day, it's the quicky shower fo sho, cuz they're fast and FURIOUS. Okay, maybe not furious.

Showers with ladies = ROWR, at least in my experiences...all both of them.

Baths with ladies = NOT ROWR, cuz I have enough trouble getting my long ass legs in a tub alone (sometimes 6'4" is a curse...yes I know you're taller jess you win). Maybe if I had a BIG tub...

I really like taking near-boiling-hot epsom salt baths on nights after my band plays gigs, it's good for the muscles & pores & flesh, and accompanied by candles, nag champa, Future Sound of London's Lifeforms, red wine and/or doobage, it's like the only way I could ever possibly mellow out enough to sleep after our row-row-rowdy shows (well, there is another way, but, well...*winks*).

nickalicious (nickalicious), Monday, 28 April 2003 16:21 (twenty-two years ago)

you bathe in my tears too, luna?

hstencil, Monday, 28 April 2003 16:22 (twenty-two years ago)

Y'all really need to come have baths at my house - my bathtub is HUGE. (Even big enough for people who are 6'4", though the range of my experience extends only to 6'6").

luna (luna.c), Monday, 28 April 2003 16:23 (twenty-two years ago)

I have a friend who falls asleep in the bath all the time. There have been times when we are supposed to go out and an hour later I wonder where he is. Open the damn door and he's passed the fuck out in the tub. Once we had been drinking all night and he disappeared, I found him at 4am passed out in an ice cold tub. He was shivering and shit.

Chris V. (Chris V), Monday, 28 April 2003 16:23 (twenty-two years ago)

Not me stence - I hate salt water.

(And yet I surf... go figure).

luna (luna.c), Monday, 28 April 2003 16:24 (twenty-two years ago)

my tub at home is small.

Chris V. (Chris V), Monday, 28 April 2003 16:25 (twenty-two years ago)

I haven't had a bath in years.

(I do shower regularly)

jel -- (jel), Monday, 28 April 2003 16:27 (twenty-two years ago)

Maaaan, don't be a hiiiiiiigh-gene fascist maaaaaan, bathing is like how THEY keep you brainwashed or something maaaan.

hippie (nickalicious), Monday, 28 April 2003 16:37 (twenty-two years ago)

I dunno, there's just something about smelling unwashed that doesn't work for me

luna (luna.c), Monday, 28 April 2003 16:39 (twenty-two years ago)

i must shower daily. it makes me feel good.

Chris V. (Chris V), Monday, 28 April 2003 16:46 (twenty-two years ago)

luna can you teach me to surf?

hstencil, Monday, 28 April 2003 16:47 (twenty-two years ago)

Sure, but you'll have to find your own wetsuit. How tall are you? I have a couple different boards - one of them is bound to work.

luna (luna.c), Monday, 28 April 2003 16:49 (twenty-two years ago)

Surfing is hard, but awesome (note: I've only surfed in the Atlantic, which, from what I understand, is a FAR different beast from surfing in the Pacific).

nickalicious (nickalicious), Monday, 28 April 2003 16:53 (twenty-two years ago)

If I surf, I want a tiki like Gregg Brady wore. *makes wierd whistling noise which stands for impending doom*

Chris V. (Chris V), Monday, 28 April 2003 16:56 (twenty-two years ago)

6'. Can I just wear shorts?

hstencil, Monday, 28 April 2003 16:56 (twenty-two years ago)

go with the Speedo, stence.

Chris V. (Chris V), Monday, 28 April 2003 17:01 (twenty-two years ago)

You can, but wetsuits help - the water can get cold. You're not hugely taller than me, so I have two boards you could use.

Surfing the Atlantic v. Pacific are a little different, yeah, but it ain't no thang.

luna (luna.c), Monday, 28 April 2003 17:02 (twenty-two years ago)

I can't swim. Childhood trauma. Let's not discuss this again.

buttch (Oops), Monday, 28 April 2003 17:04 (twenty-two years ago)

Luna, do you know anyone named Bodhi?

Chris V. (Chris V), Monday, 28 April 2003 17:05 (twenty-two years ago)

Of course not!

Yes, I do

luna (luna.c), Monday, 28 April 2003 17:07 (twenty-two years ago)

Patrick Swayze?

Chris V. (Chris V), Monday, 28 April 2003 17:09 (twenty-two years ago)

Thankfully no - but he is blonde.

luna (luna.c), Monday, 28 April 2003 17:20 (twenty-two years ago)

Showers win over baths, every time. Showers wake me up. Baths make me tired. I can stand a shower being much hotter than a bath.

... I really should go take a shower now.

Tep (ktepi), Monday, 28 April 2003 17:46 (twenty-two years ago)

I wanna learn how to surf too, Luna! (Have you seen Dogtown and Z-Boys? The super 8 film at the beginning of the surfers outside of the old carnival grounds was cool)

THough I am scared ROLLER SKATING, so I dunno. But the water breaks your fall, right?

I once got caught under a silly boogie board and it traumatized me. But, much like the girl in Blue Crush, I will prevail and everyone will applaud.

Sarah McLUsky (coco), Monday, 28 April 2003 19:42 (twenty-two years ago)

Come on, Sarah, I'll teach you, too! (I hate roller skating, I keep breaking things!)

The only time I've ever been hurt surfing was through my own stupidity and I got conked in the head with my board, but I got it back. Oh yes, I got it back...

luna (luna.c), Monday, 28 April 2003 19:49 (twenty-two years ago)

I've not had a bath in nearly three years. I much prefer showers. Sexier too. A bath is enough of a squeeze for two, but I've had more than one shower with three of us in there. Also, because they are quicker, you can have nore with less trouble: my most in one day featured two on my own, and two with a different woman each time.

I should go to the apology thread: I am blowing my own trumpet (haha yes) about sex far too much today. You people keep reminding me, though.

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Monday, 28 April 2003 20:13 (twenty-two years ago)

i need to move into the day slowly, wander arround for a bit, so baths are v. useful. also you cannot read in the shower.

anthony easton (anthony), Monday, 28 April 2003 22:18 (twenty-two years ago)

mmmm hot green tea bubble bath...

Kim (Kim), Monday, 28 April 2003 23:11 (twenty-two years ago)

i prefer showers, because its fresher and quicker. i like a bath occasionally, but i find them exhausting and theres something kinda gross about lying in your own filth.

di smith (lucylurex), Monday, 28 April 2003 23:17 (twenty-two years ago)

Dream is a v.v. swank club in DC. Its top floor features hot tubs and open showers. When I heard about that I wondered what sort of parties go on there.

As for my personal hygiene, I shower if time is tight, and I take a long bath if I've got time to relax, or if I'm having trouble going to sleep and need to relax.

j.lu (j.lu), Tuesday, 29 April 2003 00:01 (twenty-two years ago)
