They hated Minor Threat though!

DRI - Dirty Rotten LP or Dealing With It, especially if you like metal, as they started mixing metal with hardcore on their 2nd album. Unfortunately the results were a bit crap after that.

all maybe not strictly "hardcore" but if you like black sabbath and you like minor threat i think you'll like these. all three great starting points for three great bands.

Glad to see you are getting into some great music. You have many happy years of listening ahead of you. But I must ask one thing: why do people of your generation often write "cool" as "kewl"? Is that how you pronounce it, as "q - ull"?
